Open online casting call held for new FOX comedy pilot

Warner Bros. Television Group has announced an open, online casting call for 18- to 22-year-olds who can pass for a teenager approximately 16 or 17 years old. The two-week search launches today, Oct. 5, and submissions are due by Oct. 16.fox-logo

The open call is for a new comedy pilot for FOX from the executive producers of That ’70s Show. The as-yet untitled project from writer/producer Mark Brazill, with Tom Werner and Mike Clements also executive producing, centers on a group of contemporary teenagers, very much based on Brazill’s working-class upbringing in Buffalo, New York. The Internet group CAST IT is handling submissions.

Auditions may be submitted 24 hours a day. Fill out the online form, state your name, age, height and the name of the character you are submitting for, read the audition scene provided and upload. The site even offers helpful hints to get the best take, and provides background information on the roles, to help get you into character.

With several series regular roles, the call for submissions is casting a wide net. So whether you’re a straight-A student or a former skater chick — or just want to play one on TV — they want to see your best take.
