It’s that time of year again! The month of October is upon us, and that means many people’s eyes are turned toward Halloween (if they haven’t been already). As always, there will be plenty of Halloween TV programming. And just like Halloween store decorations seem to be going up earlier and earlier, so, too, is the Halloween TV programming coming on ever earlier. Right off the bat on Oct. 1 some networks will get a start on their spooky shows.

Here is a rundown of some of the notable Halloween TV programming airing in 2016. All times are ET; check back as we hear about more programming updates.

Ghostober — Oct. 1-31 on Destination America. Destination America plans on making Halloween last all October long as it celebrates things that go bump in the night with week after week of spooky programming, leading up to the supernatural television event Paranormal Lockdown: The Black Monk House on Oct. 31 (see later in this article for more details on that special). The month includes premiere episodes of Ghostly Encounters (Mondays at 10pm); Haunted Case Files (Sundays at 10pm); Haunted Collector (Tuesdays at 10pm; moves to 9pm starting Oct. 25); Ghost Mine (Thursdays at 9pm and 10pm); Monsters & Mysteries Unsolved (Saturdays at 9pm; season finale Oct. 15); and Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files (Saturdays at 8pm and 9pm starting Oct. 22).

Monstober — Oct. 1-31 on Disney Channel. Disney’s annual monthlong Halloween event includes Halloween-themed episodes of favorite series and the premiere of the original movie The Swap on Oct. 7 (see later in this article for more details on The Swap).

31 Days of Halloween — Oct. 1-31 on Syfy. Syfy’s annual monthlong celebration of all things spooky includes a number of new original movies and series, as well as network premieres of horror favorites. Things get off to a frightening start right away on Oct. 1 at 9pm with the Syfy original movie The Crooked Man. Michael Jai White and Amber Benson star in this thriller about how singing a nursery rhyme summons a demonic figure known as Crooked Man.

Gamer’s Guide to Pretty Much Everything: “The Ghost” — Oct. 1 at 7pm on Disney XD. When Ashley’s late aunt leaves her a chest full of ghost-hunting equipment, Conor and Wendell see money-making potential and start their own paranormal business.

Lab Rats: Elite Force: “Sheep-Shifting” — Oct. 1 at 7:30pm on Disney XD. When Oliver skips out on their tradition of pulling Halloween pranks in favor of a date with Skylar, Kaz continues on his own. Meanwhile, Perry enlists Bree’s protection for the night.

Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man vs. The Sinister 6: “Strange Little Halloween” — Oct. 1 at 8pm on Disney XD. When trick-or-treaters start turning into monsters, Spider-Man, Dr. Strange and Ant-Man must team up to stop Baron Mordo.

Ash vs Evil Dead Season 1 Marathon — Oct. 1 from 9pm-1:30am on Starz Encore; Oct. 2 from 2:50pm-7:30pm on Starz. 

Tales From the Darkside — The Complete Series — Available Oct. 1 on AMC’s Shudder streaming serviceEnjoy all 83 episodes of the George Romero-produced horror anthology series that ran from 1983-88.

True Nightmares — Oct. 1 at 10pm on Investigation Discovery. Hosted by Todd Robbins, Season 2 of this series brings to life the true stories that spawn hair-raising tales of the boogeyman, the monster under the bed and other urban legends.

The X-Files Marathon — Oct. 2 from 6am-6am on Chiller. Twenty-four hours of episodes from the classic David Duchovny/Gillian Anderson series.

Ash vs. Evil Dead — Oct. 2 at 8pm on Starz. In Season 2, Ash (Bruce Campbell) is forced to leave his cushy retirement in Jacksonville and return to his hometown of Elk Grove, Mich., to once again battle the Evil Dead, forming an uneasy alliance with former enemy Ruby (Lucy Lawless) in the process. Ray Santiago and Dana DeLorenzo also return, with Lee Majors, Ted Raimi and Michelle Hurd joining the cast.

Monster of the Month: Frankenstein — Sundays at 8pm on TCM beginning Oct. 2. Each Sunday, enjoy classic films about Frankenstein’s monster, beginning tonight with Boris Karloff’s immortal appearances in Frankenstein (1931) and Bride of Frankenstein (1935).

Fear the Walking Dead: “Wrath”/”North” — Oct. 2 at 9pm on AMC. The Walking Dead prequel reaches its two-hour, two-episode Season 2 finale already assured of a Season 3. In “Wrath,” Travis (Cliff Curtis) is blindsided by new refugees at the hotel. Meanwhile, Nick (Frank Dillane) must choose between leaving the colonia or staying with Luciana (Danay Garcia). Then, in “North,” Travis’ rage leads to unrest, leaving Madison (Kim Dickens) at a crossroads. At the colonia, Nick takes the lead as Narcos close in.

Best Friends Whenever: “Night of the Were-Diesel” — Oct. 2 at 9pm on Disney Channel. When Cyd tries to protect Diesel from Barry’s wolf serum experiment, she accidentally gets the serum on herself and turns into a menacing werewolf. Now Shelby must try and figure out how to get her best friend back before the she-wolf destroys their high school’s Halloween carnival.

Halloween Wars — Sundays from Oct. 2-Oct. 30 at 9pm on Food Network. Hosted by Jonathan Bennett, Halloween Wars is back with six teams made up of a pumpkin carving expert, cake artist and sugar artist who will battle it out as they create Halloween-themed edible displays that are as scary as they are delicious. Their creations will be judged by award-winning cake decorator Shinmin Li and horror icon Don Mancini, creator of the horror hit Child’s Play. At the end of each battle, one team will be eliminated, until the last team standing scares off the competition and takes home a $50,000 grand prize.

Vincent Price: The Versatile Villain/The Mad Magician — Oct. 2 at 10pm; Oct. 30 at 10pm on getTV. An hourlong documentary look at legendary actor Vincent Price, famed for his horror roles, followed by his film The Mad Magician.

Star of the Month: Christopher Lee — Mondays in October on TCM beginning Oct. 3. Each Monday in October will feature the work of the late, great British actor Christopher Lee. Although much of his non-horror work will also be featured, there will also, of course, be plenty of chances to catch his famous spooky roles, including his famed appearances as Dracula in the Hammer productions, airing Oct. 24.

Sheriff Callie’s Wild West: “The Great Halloween Robbery”/”The Ghost of the Scary Prairie” — Oct. 3 at 8pm on Disney Junior block on Disney Channel. “The Great Halloween Robbery” – Bandits hide the giant jack-o’-lantern full of treats for the entire town. “The Ghost of the Scary Prairie” – Peck tells Clementine a tale about the Ghost Rider of the Scary Prairie.

Chopped: Best Halloween Ever — Oct. 3 at 8pm on Food Network. Four one-of-a-kind cooks have dressed up for Halloween in the Chopped Kitchen, and the judges are eager to see what a drag queen, a witch, a medieval re-enactor and a bloody-faced warrior will cook for them using a wild collection of appetizer ingredients! Some frightening sights in the second basket turn out to be pretty nice picks for a pork tenderloin entree, and a spiky fruit and clever cookie-crumb creation are two of the ingredients that the final competitors get to scare up a dessert.

Halloween Baking Championship — Mondays from Oct. 3-Oct. 31 at 9pm on Food Network. Comedian Jeff Dunham and his cranky sidekick, Walter, welcome seven of the country’s most talented bakers. With spooky challenges and creepy-crawly desserts, over-the-top and costumed judges Damiano Carrara, Carla Hall and Sandra Lee will decide which baker has what it takes to claim the title of Halloween Baking Champion and a $25,000 prize.

Chopped Junior: Halloween Party — Oct. 4 at 8pm on Food Network. With gory surprises in every basket, the costumed competitors have much to fear and $10,000 to gain in this Halloween showdown, presided over by judges Scott Conant, event planner Jackie Sorkin and actress Michelle Trachtenberg. A vial filled with something deceptively familiar and some spicy mummies are weird surprises in the first basket, then the entree round has the junior chefs digging into a spooky casserole. Finally, the last two competitors confidently craft desserts from an odd collection of goodies.

Kids Halloween Baking Championship — Oct. 5 at 8pm on Food Network. Four fan-favorites from Kids Baking Championship return to bake their way through spooky new challenges and prove to hosts Duff Goldman and Alison Sweeney they have what it takes to win the $10,000 grand prize.

American Horror Story Season 6 — Wednesdays at 10pm on FX. The mysterious new season of Ryan Murphy’s creepy series continues Wednesdays this month (Oct. 5, 12, 19, 26).

Beat Bobby Flay: Howdy Halloween — Oct. 6 at 10pm on Food Network. Two Texan pastry chefs, Katherine Clapner and Joe “The Baker” Baker cross their fingers that they get less tricks and more treats as The Kitchen’s Sunny Anderson and Cooking Channel’s Laura Vitale try to spook Bobby Flay into a horrifying defeat.

BUNK’D: “Camp Kiki-Slasher” — Oct. 7 at 7:30pm on Disney Channel. Things get scary at Camp Kikiwaka when the campers start disappearing one by one. When they finally uncover the culprit with the axe to grind, he takes them on a thrill ride the campers will never forget.0

The Swap — Oct. 7 at 8pm on Disney Channel. Ellie O’Brien is trying to juggle rhythmic gymnastics and troubles with her best friend. Meanwhile, classmate Jack Malloy is struggling to live up to his brothers’ hockey-star legacies and his dad’s high expectations and tough-love approach. When a text argument about whose life is easier gets out of hand, Ellie and Jack trigger an unexplainable real-life swap. With a rhythmic gymnastics championship and a spot on the varsity hockey team on the line, they must figure out how to get back in their own bodies before the swap becomes permanent. The original movie stars Peyton List (Disney Channel’s “BUNK’D,” “Jessie”) as Ellie O’Brien and Jacob Bertrand (Disney XD’s “Kirby Buckets”) as Jack Malloy.

Terror Classic Movies: ’20s Horror — Oct. 7 at 8pm on TCM. Silent horror films, including Nosferatu (1922) and The Phantom of the Opera (1925).

Hellevator — Oct. 7 at 9pm on GSN. In Season 2 of the horror-themed competition series, a team of four friends is dared to ride a haunted elevator into the depths of an abandoned slaughterhouse. With $50,000 at stake, contestants must conquer multiple floors of terrifying chaos and hair-raising challenges in order to move on to the final level ‹The Inferno.

Z Nation: “Escorpion and the Red Hand” — Oct. 7 at 9pm on Syfy. More people flock to Murphy’s cult, while the others are stuck in the middle of a war.

Bizaardvark: “Halloweenvark” — Oct. 7 at 9:40pm on Disney Channel. The v-loggers have to make a scary Halloween video for Vuuugle’s homepage, but they can’t decide whose video is the scariest – Frankie and Paige’s tale of the ghost of Hollander Prep, Dirk’s haunting world without dares, or Amelia’s zombie apocalypse.

World’s Scariest Ghosts Caught on Tape — Oct. 7 at 10pm on Destination America. This one-hour special investigates some of the most terrifying modern examples of possible evidence of the supernatural in photographs, audio recordings and video.

Van Helsing: “Coming Back” — Oct. 7 at 10pm on Syfy. Vanessa and Mohamad head into the vampire-controlled streets in search of Dylan, the daughter that Vanessa orphaned when she “died.” Back at the hospital, Cynthia is found dead, and Doc soon discovers that what looked like a suicide is actually a deliberate murder. Is there a killer among the group? On their return to the hospital, Vanessa is captured by vampires while Mohamad leads a new group of refugees to the hospital.

All-Star Halloween Spectacular — Oct. 8 at 8pm on Food Network. The biggest stars from Food Network, HGTV and Travel Channel team up in Sin City for the ultimate Halloween adventure. First, Drew Scott and Tia Mowry team up against Jonathan Scott and Duff Goldman to create two life-sized haunted houses right on the Las Vegas Strip, full of over-the-top special effects, tasty treats and freaky concoctions. Travel Channel’s Adam Richman joins the fun, helping out both teams until it’s time for the public to name a winner, with that creative team winning money for the charity of their choice.

Day of Reckoning — Oct. 8 at 9pm on Syfy. Some years ago the world experienced a “day of reckoning” where creatures came up from below and purged humanity of evil. Now it is happening again, in this original movie.

Monsters University — Oct. 9 at 6:10pm on Disney Channel. Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan are an inseparable pair, but that wasn’t always the case. From the moment these two mismatched monsters met, they couldn’t stand each other. “Monsters University” unlocks the door to how Mike and Sulley overcame their differences and became the best of friends.

Ghost Patrol — One-Hour Animated Special — Oct. 9 at 8pm on Disney Channel. Gabi and Spence, and Spooky the dog, are the “Ghost Patrol,” their town’s supernatural pest control, but they’ve never seen a real ghost. When they get a call to investigate the old Geist Manor, they are about to find the proof they have been looking for – and a whole lot more.

Worst Bakers in America: Trick or Treat — Oct. 9 at 10pm on Food Network. Chefs Duff Goldman and Lorraine Pascale have to taste some terrifying baked goods at the Halloween-themed boot camp. First, the recruits must create scary cake pops to impress some very tough critics: little trick or treaters. Then, for their main baking challenge, the recruits put their Halloween candy to good use as they bake some surprise-inside cupcakes. The two recruits that make the most frightful treats will be sent home.

Peter Lorre: Master of Menace/The Face Behind the Mask — Oct. 9 at 10pm on getTV. An hourlong documentary about actor Peter Lorre, followed by his movie The Face Behind the Mask.

Freakish — Available Oct. 10 on Hulu. This creepy new series follows 20 students whose day in detention gets a lot more intense when a local chemical plant suffers an accident. After coming out of their fallout shelter, the students find that those not in the bunker seem to be infected. All episodes are available today.

Nature Cat: “Runaway Pumpkin”/”Lady Bug Tough” — Oct. 10 on PBS (check local listings). The backyard gang has a Halloween party featuring the biggest, most beautiful pumpkin ever.

Pickle and Peanut: “Trick or Treat”/”Haunted Couch” — Oct. 10 at 6:30pm on Disney XD. “Trick or Treat” – When Pickle and Peanut get caught trick-or-treating by Lazer and Hot Beth, they try to cover it up by putting together a last-minute Halloween party. “Haunted Couch” – The boys accidentally buy a cursed couch after they break Pickle’s old couch.

Channel Zero: Candle Cove — Oct. 11 at 9pm on Syfy. Syfy’s new anthology series Channel Zero is based on a popular “creepypasta” (user-generated horror stories that are published and passed around the internet). The six-episode first season, Candle Cove, centers on one man’s obsessive recollections of a mysterious children’s television program from the 1980s, and his ever-growing suspicions about the role it might have played in a series of nightmarish and deadly events from his childhood.

The Exorcist File — Haunted Boy — Oct. 12 at 10pm on Destination America. While filming in a haunted asylum in St. Louis, documentary filmmakers uncover a secret diary of the infamous 1949 exorcism involving a 13-year-old boy possessed by the devil that later inspired the book and movie “The Exorcist.” Using high-tech paranormal investigation tools along with a legion of supernatural experts, they seek to capture evidence of the scariest entity known to man, the Unholy Ghost. This is the untold real story of “The Exorcist,” a chronicle of true events based on the actual priest’s secret diary.

FearFest — Oct. 13 at 9am to Nov. 1 at 6am on AMC. AMC’s annual scary movie marathon encompasses everything from the Halloween and Friday the 13th movies to Nightmare on Elm Street and The Walking Dead marathons.

Liv and Maddie: Cali Style: “Scare-A-Rooney” — Oct. 14 at 8pm on Disney Channel. Liv takes Ruby to a spooky dinner and runs into an old acquaintance and Maddie comes face-to-face with the real-life spider-sprayer. Meanwhile, Parker and Joey must convince their classmates to celebrate Halloween.

Terror Classic Movies: Horror Comedies — Oct. 14 at 8pm on TCM. Everything from 1939’s The Cat and the Canary to the 1974 Mel Brooks classic Young Frankenstein, starring the late, great Gene Wilder.

Girl Meets World: “Girl Meets World of Terror 3” — Oct. 14 at 8:30pm on Disney Channel. Auggie narrates a scary Halloween story about what the world would be like if Maya and Riley had never met.

Pumpkin Pie Wars — Oct. 15 at 9pm on Hallmark Channel. In this original film, two warring grandmas have feuded for years at the annual pumpkin pie bake-off at the Chester County Harvest Festival. This year, the torch is being passed to their adult grandkids, who unexpectedly fall in love with each other. They embark on a secret romance and try to mend the rift between their families.

Stake Land 2 — Oct. 15 at 9pm on Syfy. Nick Damici and Connor Paolo star in this sequel, in which vampires have evolved, and Mister must save a young woman from an evil brotherhood.

The Simpsons: “Treehouse of Horror XXVII” — Oct. 16 at 8pm on FOX. In the three stories of the newest installment of the annual Simpsons favorite (which is also the series’ landmark 600th episode), Mr. Burns introduces a Hunger Games-style contest in which Springfield’s children fight each other; Lisa’s imaginary best friend, Rachel (guest voice Sarah Silverman), is jealous of Lisa’s real best friends and starts killing them; and Moe tells Bart that his barflies are actually covert agents and that he wants Bart to join their team in Homer’s place.

The Walking Dead: The Journey So Far — Oct. 16 at 9pm on AMC. Season 7 begins next week, Dead-heads. Whether you need to refresh your memory on Season 6 or are just jonesing for something Deadly and new to tide you over until then, this catch-up special should fit the bill nicely.

Boris Karloff: The Gentle Monster/The Man With Nine Lives — Oct. 16 at 10pm on getTV. An hourlong documentary about legendary actor Boris Karloff, famed for his creepy roles, followed by his film The Man With Nine Lives.

The Chew — Oct. 17-21 at 1pm on ABC (check local listings). All this week, The Chew offers Halloween recipes and tips for entertaining. Celebrity guests will include Hilary Duff on Oct. 17; Victoria Justice on Oct. 19 and Wanda Sykes on Oct. 20.

Dinosaur Train: “Spooky Tree”/”Spinosaurus Super Model” — Oct. 17 on PBS (check local listings). In “Spooky Tree,” as the Pteranodon family explores a mysterious tree that seems to come alive at night, they learn about bioluminescence along the way. Then, in “Spinosaurus Super Model,” Don tries to convince Old Spinosaurus to pose for a sculpture, highlighting the many features of the world’s largest land carnivore.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine: “Halloween IV” — Oct. 18 at 8pm on FOX. It’s Halloween in the Nine-Nine, which can only mean one thing: heist time. This year, the squad pulls out all the stops in their quest to win the new defending title of “Ultimate Detective Slash Genius.” Lines are drawn and plans are made, but there can be only one reigning champion.

Scream Queens: “Halloween Blues” — Oct. 18 at 9pm on FOX. After the latest attack by The Green Meanie leaves everyone shocked and saddened, Dean Munsch (Jamie Lee Curtis) and Denise (guest star Niecy Nash), along with Hester (Lea Michele), devise a plan to catch the killer by throwing a Halloween party in the hospital. Meanwhile, Chanel (Emma Roberts) celebrates a different kind of Chanel-O-Ween and attempts to make contact with the killer’s latest victim from beyond the grave. Once the party begins, an outbreak surprises the hospital, leading Brock (John Stamos) and Cassidy (Taylor Lautner) to jump into action, and another victim falls.

13 Nights of Halloween — Oct. 19 at 5:30pm-Nov. 1 at 2am on Freeform. Freeform’s annual Halloween event kicks off with Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas and includes a variety of other creepy and spooky/funny films, including The Addams FamilyDark ShadowsScooby-DooHocus Pocus and the network TV premiere of R.L. Stine’s Monsterville: Cabinet of Souls.

R.L. Stine’s Monsterville: Cabinet of Souls — Oct. 19 at 7pm on Freeform; Oct. 29 at 8pm on Disney Channel. When a traveling Hall of Horrors show arrives in the town of Danville, a group of high school friends can’t wait to get spooked. The monsters, zombies, and ghouls are completely lifelike; and the villainous showman, Dr. Hysteria, and his enchanting assistant, Lilith, really know how to turn up the scares. But when someone discovers a haunted cabinet backstage that traps the souls of lost teens, it’s up to the gang to stop the mayhem before they are trapped forever.

It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown — Oct. 19 at 8pm on ABC. The 1966 Peanuts classic makes its annual appearance.

Toy Story OF TERROR! — Oct. 19 at 8:30pm on ABC. A replay of Disney-Pixar’s first TV special, in which a fun road trip for the Toy Story gang takes an unexpected turn for the worse when the trip detours to a roadside motel. Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack and others reprise their voice roles from the films.

Beyond the Walls — Available Oct. 20 on Shudder. The streaming service’s first acquired series is a three-part supernatural thriller from France about Lisa, whose fate takes a dramatic turn the day she inherits a mysterious old house left to her in the will of its former owner. Fascinated, Lisa moves into the house without any idea of the mysteries that await her.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Let’s Do the Time Warp Again — Oct. 20 at 8pm on FOX. A two-hour musical event and re-imagining of the classic 1975 cult film, featuring timeless songs such as “The Time Warp,” “Sweet Transvestite” and “Dammit Janet.” The special stars Laverne Cox, Tim Curry, Victoria Justice, Ryan McCartan, Reeve Carney, Christina Milian, Annaleigh Ashford, Adam Lambert, Staz Nair, Ben Vereen and Ivy Levan.

Black Mirror — Available Oct. 21 on Netflix. Charlie Brooker’s outstanding, six-episode anthology series taps into our collective unease with the modern world. Each stand-alone episode is a sharp, suspenseful tale exploring themes of contemporary techno-paranoia.

Last Man Standing: “Trick or Treat” — Oct. 21 at 8pm on ABC. It’s Halloween, and the Baxter family is excited for their annual party, except for Mike, who is reluctantly tasked with choosing the theme.

Terror Classic Movies: Evil Scientists and Doctors — Oct. 21 at 8pm on TCM. Eyes Without a Face (1959), The Body Snatcher (1945) and more.

Ghosts of Shepherdstown — Oct. 21 at 8pm on TLC. It’s been one year since a trio of ghost hunters investigated Shepherdstown, W.Va., to find out why it’s considered the most haunted town in America. In a community of 1,750 people, almost everyone has experienced something they couldn’t explain, resulting in an influx of 911 calls to Shepherdstown¹s police department. In this one-hour special, cameras return to the haunted town for a check-in with residents and Police Chief Michael King to see if it¹s still a hotbed for paranormal activity.

Dr. Ken: “D.K’s Korean Ghost Story” — Oct. 21 at 8:30pm on ABC. On Halloween, Allison is disappointed that the holiday doesn’t seem to scare Dave anymore. But that might change after D.K. tells a scary Korean ghost story.

The Exorcist: “Chapter Five: Through My Most Grievous Fault” — Oct. 21 at 9pm on FOX. The exorcism begins. As the storm of the century descends upon Chicago, Father Tomas (Alfonso Herrera) and Marcus (Ben Daniels) engage the demon in spiritual warfare. But the demon is ready and waiting with a few secrets of its own. Meanwhile, the demon’s manipulations slowly begin to drive a wedge between members of the Rance family. Loyalties will be tested and lives will be forever changed.

A Haunting — Oct. 21 at 9pm on TLC. The series returns with all-new episodes showcasing some of the scariest stories of supernatural activity. 

Kindred Spirits — Oct. 21 at 10pm on TLC. Ghost Hunters alumni Amy Bruni and Adam Berry help real families that fear their homes are haunted by loved ones who have passed on. Hesitant to pick up and leave their beloved homes, these families have turned to the fearless duo to guide the spirits into the light and bring closure to family.

Jaws Marathon — Oct. 22 at 8pm on TCM. Back-to-back airings of Jaws (1975), Jaws 2 (1978) and Jaws 3 (1983).

Rats — Oct. 22 at 9pm on Discovery Channel. Morgan Spurlock’s latest documentary is both enlightening and terrifying as he turns his cameras on those nasty little varmints — rats. Inspired by Robert Sullivan’s New York Times best-selling book, Rats goes deep beneath the surface to explore the lives of man’s greatest parasite. Spurlock goes inside parks, subway tunnels and sewers, but also travels the globe to give us new perspectives on infestations, revered rats and more.

Good Witch: The Enchantress — Oct. 22 at 9pm on Hallmark Channel. A popular fantasy author is inspired to hold the launch party for her latest book in Middleton. But as the town comes together to prepare for the event, Cassie (Catherine Bell) comes to an important realization.

Shadows of the Dead — Oct. 22 at 9pm on Syfy. A group of teenagers tries to escape a creature that lives among the shadows and is hunting them down.

Bob’s Burgers: “Teen-A-Witch” — Oct. 23 at 7:30pm on FOX. With Halloween quickly approaching, Tina (Dan Mintz) reveals her brilliant idea that will finally win her first place in the annual costume contest. When Tammy (guest voice Jenny Slate) steals her idea, Tina is forced to seek the help of Mr. Ambrose (guest voice Billy Eichner), who leads her to alternate and other-worldly methods of winning. Meanwhile, Bob (H. Jon Benjamin) is on a mission to figure out who is stealing his perfectly crafted pumpkins.

Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones — Oct. 23 at 8pm on FXX. Teenagers Jesse and Hector look forward to a carefree summer, but the murder of a neighbor leads to a terrifying encounter with the supernatural. After breaking into the neighbor’s apartment, Jesse and Hector find a collection of ritualistic art and other bizarre items. Jesse takes a journal of occult writings and soon after finds a strange mark on his arm. His subsequent erratic behavior leads Jesse’s friends and family to the realization that he is possessed.

The Walking Dead — Oct. 23 at 9pm on AMC. “I remember, right before I walked out of the trailer for the first time, this weird calm came over me. … I knew what I had to do,” says Jeffrey Dean Morgan (The Good Wife, Supernatural) of joining the venerable zombie drama as the Saviors’ murderous, bat-wielding leader Negan. Too bad what he had to do was bash in the head of one of the Grimes Gang — and likely break viewers’ hearts, too. But a key Alexandrian ally also arrives this season in Khary Payton’s King Ezekiel, tiger-taming leader of The Kingdom, where Carol (Melissa McBride) and Morgan (Lennie James) have landed.

Bela Lugosi: Hollywood’s Dark Prince/The Return of the Vampire — Oct. 23 at 10pm on getTV. An hourlong documentary about Dracula star Bela Lugosi, followed by his film The Return of the Vampire.

Ready Jet Go!: “Jet’s First Halloween (Parts 1 & 2) — Oct. 24 on PBS (check local listings). In this special half-hour episode, Sydney, Sean and Mindy help Jet experience his first Halloween – from carving Jack-o-lanterns and dressing up in costumes, to trick-or-treating and going to a haunted house. Along the way, the gang learns about lunar eclipses and the Red Moon.

The Middle: “Halloween VII: The Heckoning” — Oct. 25 at 8pm on ABC. As Halloween approaches, Frankie is taken aback when she discovers that, if the circumstances ever arose where she and Mike got divorced, the kids would all choose to live with Mike. Meanwhile, Sue tries everything in her power to get her room back from Brick, and having to be so nice around girlfriend April all of the time leads Axl to lash out at his family.

American Housewife: “Westport Zombies” — Oct. 25 at 8:30pm on ABC. Katie, jealous of Taylor’s friendship with neighbor Viv (Leslie Bibb), reluctantly competes in the Westport Halloween “Zombie Run” after she finds out they’ll both be running. Meanwhile, Greg and Anna-Kat get a little too much in character for the “zombie” part of the run’s obstacle course.

Fresh Off the Boat: “Louisween” — Oct. 25 at 9pm on ABC. It’s Louis’ favorite holiday, and he makes every attempt to scare Jessica into the Halloween spirit, but she is buried in her word processor, drafting her first horror novel. Meanwhile, Emery and Evan debate costume choices, and Eddie and his crew are excited to party with high schoolers at Nicole’s house.

Family Time: “Head of House” — Oct. 25 at 9pm on Bounce TV. When a mysterious older woman declares the Stallworths basement to be haunted, Lisa (Angell Conwell) decides to investigate what occurred before her family moved in to their home. Meanwhile, Ebony (Jayla Calhoun) reveals to Tony (Omar Gooding) that she thinks she has a stalker.

The Real O’Neals: “The Real Halloween” — Oct. 25 at 9:30pm on ABC. When Halloween arrives, or what Kenny refers to as “the gay Super Bowl,” he plans to go to Boystown to watch the festive costume parade. In an effort to prevent Kenny from attending, Eileen agrees to let him throw his own Halloween party at home. Eileen’s tolerance is ultimately tested when Kenny recruits Stuart and his gay friends to join the big party, and he makes a BIG costume change. Meanwhile, Jimmy and Shannon plan to pull off an epic Halloween prank.

The Goldbergs: “Stefan King” — Oct. 26 at 8pm on ABC. Adam’s love of Stephen King inspires him to try his hand at horror writing. After learning the monster in Adam’s story is based off Beverly, she forces Adam to stay in on Halloween and rewrite it, hoping he depicts her as a better mother.  Meanwhile, Erica is desperate to find a date to the costume dance and forces Barry go with her.

Ghost Brothers: Ghostin’ Edition — Oct. 26 from 8pm-11pm on Destination America. Enhanced episodes from Season 1 feature social media extras, new footage and more as TV’s first African-American paranormal investigation team explores haunted places around the country. Enhanced episodes include visits to the Magnolia Plantation, Prospect Place and The Allen House.

Speechless: “H-A-L-HALLOWEEN” — Oct. 26 at 8:30pm on ABC. Jimmy is upset the kids no longer want to participate in the family tradition of dressing up for Halloween.  Maya tries to cheer up Jimmy by allowing him to do things he loves by taking things off the family “Dead to Me” list.  Meanwhile, Ray recruits Dylan to help work the school’s haunted mansion while Kenneth is scared of losing his job when JJ gets drunk at a party.

Modern Family: “Halloween 4: The Revenge of Rod Skyhook” — Oct. 26 at 9pm on ABC. Luke’s Halloween party isn’t the monster bash he dreamed of and he is at risk of having the worst party of the year. Sensing trouble, the rest of the Dunphys realize all his party needs is a visit from Rod Skyhook, a little promotion and some adult supervision to get it started. Meanwhile at the Tucker-Pritchett home, Cam faces off with his Halloween nemesis while Lily and Mitchell try to save the day and work to keep him from going to the darkside. Finally, when Jay finds out that Manny is going to a party at the home of an old enemy, he enlists him to deliver a trick he will never forget.

black-ish: “The Purge” — Oct. 26 at 9:30pm on ABC. After Junior embarrasses Dre during a basketball game, Dre decides to remind Junior of his master pranking skills so he’ll never challenge him again. Meanwhile, the neighborhood participates in a “mischief night” during Halloween where petty crimes become legal, and Ruby takes it too far with the kids.

Code Black: “Demons and Angels” — Oct. 26 at 10pm on CBS. On Halloween night, Willis, Noa and Elliott rush to the scene of a fire at a haunted theater, where Dr. Nolan (Kathleen Rose Perkins) and her boyfriend’s son are trapped.

The Amazing World of Gumball: “The Scam” — Oct. 27 at 7:30pm on Cartoon Network. At Halloween show and tell, the class isn’t buying Gumball’s story about Gargaroth the Devourer until Carrie fakes a terrifying haunting. The kids convince the school to hire them as ghost exterminators and take their payment in Halloween candy. But when it turns out Gargaroth is real, suddenly Gumball is expected to be the town’s savior.

Uncle Grandpa: “Costume Crisis” — Oct. 27 at 7:45pm on Cartoon Network. Uncle Grandpa makes improvements to a kid’s Halloween costume.

Regular Show: “Terror Tales of the Park VI” — Oct. 27 at 8pm on Cartoon Network. In Regular Show’s sixth installment of “Terror Tales,” the guys gather in the house on the Dome and tell scary Halloween stories just like ol’ times, only this Halloween, the stories have an extra terrifying, science fiction twist. Neil deGrasse Tyson appears as, and voices, himself in this episode.

Superstore: “Halloween Theft” — Oct. 27 at 8pm on NBC. Dina (Lauren Ash) throws a wrench in everyone’s Halloween plans when something goes missing from the store and declares that no employee can leave until someone confesses to stealing. Amy (America Ferrera) is determined to find out who is responsible because she doesn’t want to miss trick-or-treating with her daughter and Mateo (Nico Santos) prepares for his secret date with Jeff (recurring guest star Michael Bunin). Meanwhile, Jonah (Ben Feldman) and Cheyenne (Nichole Bloom) struggle to bond until they discover they have more in common than they thought. Garrett (Colton Dunn) has a difficult time defending himself during the store-wide investigation.

Hawaii Five-0: “Ka hale ho’okauweli” — Oct. 28 at 9pm on CBS. On Halloween, Five-0 investigates the murder of a medium with a checkered past who was apparently scared to death by a poltergeist. Also, Kono and Adam are kidnapped by what appears to be a death cult. Episode title is Hawaiian for “House of Horrors.”

The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About Halloween! — Oct. 28; re-airs Oct. 29-Nov. 1 on PBS (check local listings). The Cat in the Hat takes Nick and Sally on a wild Halloween ride in this all-new movie.  Their fright-filled adventure takes them deep into the Oooky-ma-kooky Closet, where Nick and Sally discover the very best Halloween costumes ever.

Sesame Street — Oct. 29 at 9am on HBO (also available on HBO Now, HBO On Demand, HBO GO and affiliate portals). In a special Halloween episode, the letter of the day is “H” for Halloween, and Elmo learns that a good imagination is the most important part of pretending.

Scorpion: “Bat Poop Crazy” — Oct. 31 at 10pm on CBS. Before Halloween, Team Scorpion must infiltrate a deep, vast cave system in order to prevent a bat population from destroying the North America ecosystem.

Jimmy Kimmel Live — Oct. 31 at 11:35pm on ABC. Jimmy, Guillermo, Dicky, Cleto and the Cletones and all of the show’s guests will be dressed for Halloween tonight. The 11th Annual Half & Half Halloween Costume Pageant will be part of the festivities.

Stan Against Evil — Oct. 31 at 11pm on IFC. John C. McGinley (Scrubs) is Stan, a perpetually disgruntled sheriff of a small New England town who was forced into retirement. Janet Varney (You’re the Worst) costars as Evie Barret, the town’s new sheriff. Stan and Evie reluctantly join forces when they realize things are not quite right in their quaint town, which happens to be built upon the site of a massive 17th-century witch burning, and they find themselves confronting a variety of demons and monsters. After tonight’s Halloween premiere, the series airs regularly on Wednesdays starting Nov. 2.

  1. Glad to hear all the “oldies” like Frankenstein, Dracula, The Wolfman, Nosferatu, etc. are being shown this year.
