The CW Announces 2016-2017 Fall Schedule; And It’s Super

Thursday, ahead of its annual presentation to advertisers, The CW released its 2016-2017 fall schedule. The decade-old network will premiere two new series this fall, with another joining the lineup in midseason. But the biggest change to the network is that Supergirl is moving from parent network CBS to bring the number of the CW’s DC Comics-based series to four. FOX Announces 2016-2017 Programming Slate: Includes 2 Movie-Based Dramas, New 24 Series.

This morning, Dana Walden and Gary Newman, Chairmen and CEOs of Fox Television Group, announced FOX’s primetime slate for the 2016-2017 television season. The announcement of the fall slate of programming comes on the heels of last week’s cancellations of several series including freshman comedies, The Grinder and Grandfathered. FOX has essentially split the 2016-2017 programming season into three parts with most of its returning series premiering in fall, and lots of new series launching in Winter and Spring.
