Destination America announced today that it has renewed its breakout hit series Mountain Monsters for a second season. Production on new, hourlong episodes will begin later this year (no word yet on when they will air), and will again follow the hardcore hunters and trappers of the Appalachian Investigators of Mysterious Sightings (AIMS), as they look for and try to capture mysterious creatures reported in Appalachia. Coming on the heels of its series Monsters and Mysteries in America comes the new series Mountain Monsters, premiering June 22. Like Monsters and Mysteries in America, Mountain Monsters focuses on the search for creatures out of folklore that have been reported in real life.
