Destination America’s “Real Time Train Ride” intends to put you to sleep on Thanksgiving

I received a video clip last week from Destination America that the network billed as the “most boring screener ever” (DA must not know just what kind of screeners I get; if they think this is the most boring screener I’ve ever received, they clearly haven’t seen the likes of Truth Be Told). Anyway, the screener was a one-hour preview of Destination America’s five-hour Thanksgiving Day special, Railroad Alaska: Real Time Train Ride. It’s an ambient video akin to something like the seasonal Yule Log special. Destination America, in fact, also asks in its release, “Is the yule log too exciting for […]

Dalton Castle on what makes him one of the most unique performers in Ring of Honor

Pro wrestler Dalton Castle is among the most unconventional stars to walk through the doors of Ring of Honor. His entrance has all the pomp and circumstance of a Mardi Gras parade or something you’d find on the Las Vegas Strip. The 29-year-old’s over-the-top nature has won over an often hard to please ROH fan base. However, beneath the flash and feathers is an impressive in-ring performer. The beginnings of the man from Planet Peacock can be traced back to the mats of amateur wrestling. This helped build a foundation when he transitioned into the pro ranks. “It just felt […]
