Garth Brooks ‘Live at Notre Dame!’ on CBS

Country legend Garth Brooks added another first to his storied career when he took the stage at Notre Dame Stadium in October for the first ever live concert at the university’s 88-year-old famous football field. The sold-out event was captured for the CBS special Garth: Live at Notre Dame! airing Sunday, Dec. 2 at 8pm. Despite cold and wet weather, nothing could dampen the enthusiasm of over 84,000 fans filling the historic stadium. Brooks was playful at the press conference prior to the concert and laughed as he teased the Fighting Irish locals: “I’m going to work you like a rented […]

CBS’s new comedy The Neighborhood (beginning Monday, Oct. 1 at 8/7c) is a lighthearted comedy that pokes fun at race relations. 5 Questions With … Peter Onorati Of CBS’ ‘S.W.A.T.’

As long as Peter Onorati stayed in the business, it was bound to happen. “Mumford is the old man,” Onorati, 64, says of his character on S.W.A.T., CBS’ Thursday drama. “It’s my first role of being the old man, and I love it. He is a straight shooter, by the book, and I love it.” “He’s not necessarily open to new techniques and new thinking,” Onorati says. “When it comes down to it, it is all about SWAT and he does what is necessary. He is the leader of the other SWAT team. He’s on the street as much as […]

‘Living Biblically’: Jay R. Ferguson Talks CBS’ Feel-Good Sitcom Based on the A.J. Jacobs Book

In 2007, A.J. Jacobs charmed believers and doubters alike with The Year of Living Biblically — the Esquire editor’s hilarious, insightful attempt to follow the Good Book’s 700-plus edicts right down to the letter. And the single-fabric robes. And the sheep. And the impressive, if sort of yucky, beard. And the amused trepidation of a patient Mrs. Jacobs. Ten years later, The Big Bang Theory’s Johnny Galecki and screenwriter Patrick Walsh (2 Broke Girls, Crashing) have mined Jacobs’ book to create the warm and genuinely funny sitcom Living Biblically. The series stars Galecki’s pal Jay R. Ferguson (Mad Men) […]

Shemar Moore is Ready to Save the Day in ‘S.W.A.T.’

When Shemar Moore left CBS’ highly successful series Criminal Minds after 11 seasons, fans cried at the loss of popular character Derek Morgan. But Moore explains, “I just got to a place where I felt like I was running out of gas as far as what else to do with Derek.” Now Moore is back on CBS on Thursday as Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson, the lead in S.W.A.T., a bold, modern, more eye-popping version of the successful franchise that has already been a ’70s TV series and a 2003 movie blockbuster. “This is a dream job,” Moore marvels. “This is a […]
