“Glee” showcased this week on Bravo, BIO and FOX

It’s probably safe to assume that Glee fans are going to experience an incredible amount of glee this week, as the popular show not only returns to FOX after a brief hiatus but also gets the star treatment on Bravo and BIO Channel. The musical drama/comedy rejoins the FOX lineup Tuesday night (8pm ET) with an episode entitled “Big Brother,” which features the seniors ditching class to attend an amusement park. It’s probably also safe to assume we will find out what happened to Dianna Agron’s character Quinn, who was last seen in a horrible car accident that was caused […]

Air travel and 9/11 … are some networks taking advantage?

by Karl J. Paloucek Follow @ChannelGuide I’ve been accused of a number of things in my lifetime, and if there’s one thing I have to cop to, it’s confusing people at times as to whether I’m serious or joking. In truth, sometimes I’m not even sure. Sometimes a topic has sufficient irony to lend itself to being oddly humorous and at the same time, it might not be appropriately timed for humor. I’m not even sure that what I want to discuss here is one of those topics, but consider yourselves forewarned — I feel like it’s gonna be one […]

Hey “Blue Lagoon” fans: Christopher Atkins is coming to Bio!

By Lori Acken OK, I’ll admit it … Actually, I don’t need to admit it. I’m pleased as punch to report that my jaded old heart skipped a beat, maybe twelve, when I opened the latest Bio press release and saw that name. His name. The name of he who could send me walking into walls, make me furtively smooch a poster till it wore through to the faux wood panel of my closet door and — most of all — want to clobber Brooke Shields when I was in the 8th grade. Christopher Atkins. Richard. He of the loin […]

A viewer’s guide to non-wedding programming

For those of you who will for one reason or another be up at 4 am ET tomorrow with no desire whatsoever to watch the Royal wedding, we here at Channel Guide Magazine have you covered. With that in mind, here is what we are officially deeming our “Un-Royal Best Bets,” which is subjective at best when you consider that all of these shows are airing just after midnight on the West Coast and shortly before sunrise on the […]

BIO unveils new Charlie Sheen special, “Bad Boy on the Edge,” Sunday

By Stacey Harrison Flipping through the channels the other night, I happened upon the Charlie Sheen episode of Biography and thought, “Boy, this could sure use some updating.” Apparently the folks at BIO felt the same way, as they’ve announced a one-hour original special, Charlie Sheen: Bad Boy on the Edge, to premiere Sunday at 9pm. Though it will span the volatile actor’s nearly 30-year career in Hollywood, where he has “made a living following his own bliss” (a rather elegant way of putting it, don’t you think?), the network’s press release understandably focuses on the material it has about […]
