In the American Horror Story Coven season finale, you’d expect things to be wrapped up with a nice little bow. The marketing geniuses at American Horror Story: Coven have released another enigmatic teaser for the FX series, which premieres Wednesday, Oct. 9, at 10pm ET/PT. Before we had a bunch of women’s bodies suspended (or hanged?) as a creepy rendition of “House of the Rising Sun” kicked in. It was only 17 seconds, but quite memorable. Here, there is some definite Salem Witch Trial imagery on display, what with the burning and the stakes and all. It’s slightly longer, at 21 seconds, but no more informative. Another fall TV season, another batch of creepy abstract teasers for American Horror Story. This initial 17-second clip for American Horror Story: Coven reveals nothing at all about the storyline, which we know is going to be centered around witches in New Orleans. Tonight’s Season 2 finale, “Madness Ends,” which airs at 10pm on FX, has me feeling some familiar frustrations.
