Facts of Life Reunion
Talk Show

It’s A Facts of Life Reunion On Home & Family

On Monday, Feb. 15, stars from one of my favorite TV shows ever are getting together for a morning of mirth and memories on Hallmark’s daily talk and lifestyle program, Home and Family. Show hosts Mark Steines and Cristina Ferrare welcome the stars of The Facts of Life — actresses Charlotte Rae, Lisa Whelchel, Kim Fields, and Geri Jewell — and have a few surprises up their sleeves (Hint: Clooney! Bridges!) After catching us up on all of the goings on in their lives, the gang spends the morning having tons of fun with the entire H&F family; Lisa cooks […]

Historical Programming

Craig Ferguson says History’s “Join or Die” features “unhinged, dangerous, rollicking” conversation

It’s always nice to see when a network gets back to its original mission — and its name — and History has been doing a fine job of that of late. For history buffs, miniseries like Texas Rising have helped complement other series like Pawn Stars, and the new series Join or Die With Craig Ferguson should also be a welcome addition for those who like to discuss, and debate, history. The series is the brainchild of former late-night host Craig Ferguson, and will feature a roundtable of people talking about six historical events or figures, whittling them down to […]

Not Safe With Nikki Glaser

Meet TV’s #1 pervert Nikki Glaser

It’s easy to see how Amy Schumer and Nikki Glaser are best friends. The whip-smart, nothing-is-off-limits comics are brutally honest and brazenly hilarious. Now they’ll both be on Comedy Central with Glaser’s new series Not Safe With Nikki Glaser premiering Tuesday, Feb. 9 at 10:30pm ET/PT. (Inside Amy Schumer returns for a new season in April.) Donning a black leather jacket, black tee and black pants, Glaser sat comfortably on stage at the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour in Pasadena and talked to TV critics about sex, which is the focus of Not Safe With Nikki Glaser. A self-described […]

Actress turned memoirist Leah Remini will talk about her new book, Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology — and the dramatic end to her 30-year association with the Church of Scientology — tonight on ABC’s 20/20. Remini’s hourlong interview with ABC News anchor Dan Harris premieres at 10/9CT on ABC.  In a promo clip released by the network, she is candid about the personal impact of turning her back on the Church she joined with her family when she was young. “The decision to leave is you are giving up everything you have worked for your whole life; I feel that people need to understand that this has […]

Sharon Osbourne as Sia?! The Talk hosts channel pop stars for Halloween!

If you’ve ever wondered what Julie Chen would look like in Madonna’s bullet-bra bustier, or maybe Aisha Tyler in Beyonce’s iconic, single-sleeved black leotard (and if you haven’t, well, you probably are now) this will be a very Happy Halloween, indeed. In honor of the costume-centric holiday, the CBS afternoon gabfest The Talk will morph into The Sing, as the hosts transform themselves into their favorite pop stars and throw down in a lip sync battle hosted by Joey Fatone. • RELATED: Halloween Programming 2015 The special episode airs Friday, Oct. 30 at 2pm ET and 1pm CT and PT on the CBS […]

“What the hell have you guys been doing for 30 years?” Marty McFly and Doc Brown visit 2015 and Jimmy Kimmel

In a nice coda to yesterday’s Back to the Future Day, Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd showed up in character as Marty McFly and Doc Brown on Jimmy Kimmel Live. The duo burst onto stage during Kimmel’s monologue in their famed DeLorean time machine, arriving from the year 1985, and exited the car to a standing ovation from the crowd, Marty in his trademark vest and Doc in his hazmat suit. When Kimmel greeted them, Marty asked, “Who are you?” When informed they were in a middle of a talk show, Doc asked in astonishment, “What happened to Johnny Carson?” […]

The Daily Show With Trevor Noah: Late night favorite gets a new voice

When Comedy Central announced that Jon Stewart’s successor on The Daily Show would be Trevor Noah, much of America responded with, “Who?” Noah, a 31-year-old standup comedian from South Africa and Daily Show contributor since 2014, has an incisive wit and an uncanny ability to expose deep-seated hypocrisy. At a standup performance in late July, Noah riffed on being a black guy being pulled over by police (“I don’t know how not to die.”), being an African on a U.S.-bound airliner during the Ebola outbreak, and the “charming racism” he encountered in the South. It will be a vastly […]
