Dr. Gupta and The Doctors doctors also discuss why kids should be a priority when […]

by Karl J. Paloucek Explorer, environmentalist and television host Jeff Corwin switches tacks in his new series, Extreme Cuisine With Jeff Corwin, premiering Sept. 17 on Food Network (HD): Instead of protecting wildlife species, he’s eating them. Traveling around the globe, from Morocco to Peru, Thailand to New England, Corwin connects with the people in each locale on one of the universal points that we all have in common — food. “We look at food differently in Western culture, sometimes — specifically in American culture,” Corwin explains. “We often eat fast, we often eat in large quantities, and we sort […]

Consider Yourself Invited To IFC’s “Food Party”

If I could pick one thing everyone should have in their lives on a regular basis, near the top would be a bit of surrealism. If I could pick a second, it might as well be puppets. (Note that the two concepts rather complement one another.) Well, just in time for summer, IFC brings both your way in a new Internet transplant of sorts, Food Party, premiering June 9 as part of the IFC Automat. Created and hosted by upload artist Thu Tran and a group of her art-school buddies, the series follows her adventures in and around her colorful, […]

By ButtonKnows Aw, like you need another reason to look forward to summer. Well, how about two of ’em? Large Family Affairs

By Jeff Pfeiffer You know it’s only a matter of time before “Octo-Mom” Nadya Suleman gets a reality TV series. The intense public fascination about her case has come as no surprise, really, since television has become filled with the pitter-patter (or, in some cases, stampeding) of little feet. Several popular programs have already been chronicling the adventures of similar people who have suddenly found themselves saddled — er, blessed — with multiple kids all at once. And like the parents, these types of shows are reproducing quickly. In fact, a new one called Table For 12 starts March 23.

The show, in which rapper/actor Chris “Ludacris” Bridges goes head-to-head with Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee to see which musician can lead a more eco-friendly lifestyle, doesn’t premiere until August 3. But we interviewed Ludacris this week, and this is a sampling of what he had to say about the show: Some people might […]
