The Whispers Season 1 episode 2 recap: Hide & Seek

This week’s episode of The Whispers, titled “Hide & Seek,” is all about the hunt for more clues into understanding everybody’s new favorite imaginary friend Drill and finding the mysterious John Doe, Sean Bennigan (Milo Ventimiglia). However, before we move forward, a flashback is given from three months earlier in the Sahara Desert where a kid is playing with a toy truck. He witnesses a flash of fire in the sky, and of course, goes to investigate (that’s never a good idea.). He follows the light where he finds Bennigan’s nametag and giant footprints (Godzilla? T-rex of Jurassic Park fame?). We […]

We talk with TNA’s Rockstar Spud as Impact Wrestling debuts on Wednesday nights

TNA’s Rockstar Spud has a big decision on his hands when Impact Wrestling moves to Wednesdays on Destination America beginning tonight. The current X Division champion can keep the gold or cash in “Option C” for a shot at the world heavyweight title. It’s a position the 5-foot-4 Englishman never thought he would be in, but it’s one the entertainer isn’t taking for granted. Today he calls Nashville home — a city which is nothing like Birmingham. “The first couple of months were kind of rough because you have to get used to the way things are done,” he said. “Other […]

WWE RAW recap: Reigns reigns in a three-match night

Raw was Roman Reigns this week, as the superstar had to survive three matches to keep his slot in the Money in the Bank ladder match. He went on to defeat King Barrett, Mark Henry and Bray Wyatt during the course of the three-hour show. It was an impressive series of performances for Reigns, who isn’t always on the fans’ good side. However, I think he took the ball and ran with it in this case. Dean Ambrose appeared like a ninja at the end of the event and helped Reigns fight off The Authority. If you’re keeping score, the […]

The Whispers “X Marks the Spot” recap: Parents just don’t understand …

“Parents just don’t understand.” It’s not just a Jazzy Jeff and Fresh Prince hit, but a line that can accurately describe the paranormal drama The Whispers on ABC. The debut episode “X Marks the Spot” begins with young Harper talking to what is believed to be her imaginary friend Drill (what happened to names like Bob?). The six-year-old calls her mom up to a tree house after following instructions from Drill; the mom falls through the wooden floor. The strange case introduces us to FBI child specialist Claire Bennigan, who is going through her own issues. Son Henry is deaf […]

WWE Elimination Chamber 2015 results

Dean Ambrose left the Elimination Chamber and heads to Monday Night Raw with the WWE world championship. However, this doesn’t mean he is the rightful owner. Let me explain. At the end of his stellar match with Seth Rollins the referee was taken out. Another official arrived just in time to make the three-count for Ambrose. The original man in stripes awakes and declares the main event a disqualification. Roman Reigns helps his buddy Ambrose fend of The Authority. The “Lunatic Fringe” then exits with the richest prize in WWE. Raw will no doubt see Rollins on the hunt for […]

Come June 3, Destination America will be home to not only TNA’s Impact Wrestling, but Ring of Honor as well. Ring of Honor will premiere on its new home on Wednesday, June 3 at 8/7CT and run for an initial 26 weeks. Impact Wrestling moves from its Friday night time slot to 8 p.m. CT on the same day, meaning ROH is serving as a lead-in. This is unprecedented, as a broadcast network now serves as the home of […]

WWE Raw gets an Entourage! Here’s the recap of last night’s show

Cast from the HBO hit series and upcoming movie, Entourage, appeared on this week’s Raw and helped WWE make its last night in the Nassau Coliseum memorable. Adrian Grenier, Kevin Connolly, Kevin Dillon and Jerry Ferrara introduced Long Island’s own Zack Ryder as the challenger for John Cena’s United States championship. Even though “Long Island Iced-Z” didn’t win the gold, he left a winner. Ryder was able to compete one more time in the historic venue, which has hosted WWE events since 1974. NXT champion Kevin Owens ruined the feel-good scene by attacking Cena. The “Entourage” crew weren’t the only […]

WWE Raw results and recap: Ambrose crashes Rollins’ victory celebration

Seth Rollins’ victory celebration on WWE Raw for leaving Payback with his WWE world championship was crashed by Dean Ambrose. The “Lunatic Fringe” used cinderblocks and the threat to recreate a scene he knows all too well with “The Architect” to get Triple H and Stephanie McMahon to grant him a title opportunity at Elimination Chamber on May 31. The main event is now set for the special WWE Network exclusive pay-per-view event. Kane remains on the side of The Authority, but little nudges here and there seem to be foreshadowing this may change. Earlier in the night Ambrose lost to […]

WWE Payback results and recap

After everything that has happened in Baltimore, WWE brought the fun back to a city surely in need of it. The sports entertainment juggernaut hosted its Payback pay-per-view event Sunday there in front of a lively crowd. They had many moments to cheer for with the superstars working hard to put on a solid card of action. WWE world champion Seth Rollins survived a fatal 4-way for the WWE world championship against challengers Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Randy Orton. Kane, the onscreen director of operations and J&J Security interfered in the proceedings in the favor of the title holder. There […]

WWE Monday Night Raw Results 5/11/15: Daniel Bryan relinquishes Intercontinental championship

Daniel Bryan left fans with tears in their eyes as he relinquished the Intercontinental championship on “Monday Night Raw” this week from Cincinnati. It was a déjà vu moment for the popular leader of the “Yes Movement,” who had to vacate the WWE world championship due to a neck injury around the same time last year. No word on Bryan’s future in the ring, but he is scheduled to serve on the judging panel for the new season of Tough Enough, premiering on June 23 on USA Network. The IC title itself is now up for grabs heading into the […]
