The 90th MLB All-Star Game takes place at Cleveland’s Progressive Field as the best players from the AL take on the best from the NL. New this year, if extra innings are needed, batting teams will start the 10th inning and every inning after with a runner on second base. Players who’ve already left the game can reenter as baserunners. The AL has won the past six Midsummer Classics.

Love Island

Tonight premieres a two-part crime documentary that explores troubling questions of how we communicate in the digital age by diving into the ethical morass of the case of Michelle Carter, who was charged with coercing her boyfriend into suicide via text. Part 2 airs tomorrow.

In this special Car Week episode, Danny Koker restores a 1969 Shelby GT500 numbers-matching car from a rust bucket into an instant classic. Tracy Morgan hosts The 2019 ESPYS sports awards at Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater. Among the many honorees is NBA legend and human-rights advocate Bill Russell, who will be presented with the Arthur Ashe Courage Award. High school football coach Rob Mendez, who was born without arms or legs, receives the Jimmy V Award for Perseverance. The Pat Tillman Award for Service goes to wounded warrior Kirstie Ennis.

MasterChef: “Joe Takes a Risk”

Battle of the 80s Supercars With David Hasselhoff

This two-hour special is part of History’s annual Car Week and features Knight Rider star David Hasselhoff setting out to prove how his iconic ’80s KITT car inspired and revolutionized the car industry for years to come. The special culminates with a one-of-a-kind race with Hasselhoff and the KITT car, Dirk Benedict and The A-Team squad van, and Erik Estrada in the motorcycle from the police drama television series CHiPs, with the winner taking home major bragging rights.

Hubble’s Amazing Journey

Creatures make use of their environments to find — or avoid becoming — food. A tiger silently stalks a stag on the crunchy forest floor, using storm sounds as further cover; a chameleon blends into a rainforest, relying on a tongue longer than its body to catch wary bugs. Leopards may fail in six out of seven hunt attempts, but this stunner is a success!

Ghost Adventures: “Idaho State Tuberculosis Hospital”

The University Inn and Resort in Gooding, Idaho, bills itself as “A Fun Place to Stay.” Which is true, if you think fun includes whispering voices and apparitions of children. Tonight, Zak Bagans, Aaron Goodwin and their team of spook-seekers canvass the haunted hotel, which was a tuberculosis hospital in the 1940s. Let’s hope they’re more successful than the paranormal investigators who found a mysterious shape in the basement more than a decade ago.
