Demián Bichir and Roselyn Sanchez star in ABC’s soapy summertime drama as the glamorous power couple behind the last family-owned hotel on Miami Beach. Eva Longoria, who executive produces — and makes occasional appearances in — this contemporary tale, says, “It has a lot of themes of Upstairs, Downstairs, but we thought it was very unique to have the ‘Upstairs’ be a Hispanic family.” Each episode will focus on the hotel’s wealthy and beautiful guests as they bask in luxury and create sexy drama, while the hotel’s staff embroil themselves in their own secrets and scandals.

Raven’s Home: “Friend-Ship”

Raven (Raven-Symoné) and the kids plan a road trip to visit Chelsea (Anneliese van der Pol) at her cruise ship and encounter several obstacles along the way. Also this season, the series welcomes guest stars Jaleel White and Charles Robinson, and executive producer Raven-Symoné adds the title of director to her resume.

Hogan
Golf Channel, 9pm

Golf Films kicks off its 2019 slate with the two-part documentary Hogan, a comprehensive look at the life and legacy of golf legend Ben Hogan, who arguably owns one of the greatest sports comeback stories of all time. In Part 1, “Perseverance,” see Hogan’s humble beginnings as a young boy in Texas, and the path that led to a career as one of golf’s biggest icons and greatest champions. Hogan turned professional at age 17 and went on to win nine times between 1941-42. He served in the army during World War II, which took nearly three years away from the prime of his golf career. After the war, Hogan cemented himself as the best golfer in the world, winning 36 of 99 events that he played in from 1946-48. But a horrific car accident left Hogan with multiple serious injuries that jeopardized his career. The film continues with Part 2 tomorrow.

Hogan (Part 2)

Golf Films’ documentary about golf icon Ben Hogan concludes tonight with Part 2, “Perfection.” After recovering from his multiple injuries sustained in a car accident, Hogan resumed his golf career and demonstrated that he was still a force to be reckoned with. Despite relentless physical pain, Hogan won his first major title at the 1950 U.S. Open, and his dominance soon exceeded that of his pre-accident years. He won two majors in 1951 and three more in 1953. From 1940-60, Hogan never finished outside the top-10 at the U.S. Open. He played his final competitive round in 1971, and would go on to be a businessman, an author and an inspiration to many.

In 1998, 16-year-old Otis broke into Valerie’s home and allegedly tried to rob her. During the attempt, Valerie and her 16-year-old daughter, Valene, were shot. Valerie died weeks later and although her daughter Valene miraculously survived, she was left disfigured. Otis was sentenced to life without parole. He has been granted a re-sentencing hearing and hopes he can someday be released.
