This episode visits with a New York photographer and urban explorer who climbs skyscrapers to walk in the clouds and capture a bird’s-eye view of the city. Then, in Louisiana, a family of stuntmen create an illusion requiring split-second timing to avert death. In California, the band OK Go films its latest music video in only 4.3 seconds but has it slowed down 20,000 percent to make the video last over three minutes, revealing moments invisible to the naked eye.

Golf Channel, 9pm

Golf Films kicks off its 2019 slate with the two-part documentary Hogan, a comprehensive look at the life and legacy of golf legend Ben Hogan, who arguably owns one of the greatest sports comeback stories of all time. In Part 1, “Perseverance,” see Hogan’s humble beginnings as a young boy in Texas, and the path that led to a career as one of golf’s biggest icons and greatest champions. Hogan turned professional at age 17 and went on to win nine times between 1941-42. He served in the army during World War II, which took nearly three years away from the prime of his golf career. After the war, Hogan cemented himself as the best golfer in the world, winning 36 of 99 events that he played in from 1946-48. But a horrific car accident left Hogan with multiple serious injuries that jeopardized his career. The film continues with Part 2 tomorrow.

Despite relentless physical pain, Hogan won his first major title at the 1950 U.S. Open, and his dominance soon exceeded that of his pre-accident years. He won two majors in 1951 and three more in 1953. From 1940-60, Hogan never finished outside the top-10 at the U.S. Open.
