This blockbuster sitcom closes out its 12-season run with a one-hour finale. CBS is holding back details, but longtime pals Leonard Hofstadter and Sheldon Cooper (Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons) — who have spent most of their adult lives living either together or within a few yards of each other — may be heading in different directions with their lives. Kaley Cuoco, Simon Helberg, Kunal Nayyar, Melissa Rauch and Mayim Bialik also star. A half-hour retrospective special also airs later this evening.

Golf: PGA Championship: First Round

In a major schedule shift, the PGA Championship moves from August to May beginning with this year’s tournament at Bethpage Black in Farmingdale, N.Y. Defending champion Brooks Koepka will be challenged by the likes of Justin Rose, Dustin Johnson, Rory McIlroy, Justin Thomas and Bryson DeChambeau. TNT and CBS combine to air the event through Sunday.

For the first time in 23 years, the Kentucky Derby winner will not compete in the Preakness. The controversial conclusion to the Derby saw Country House declared the winner after Maximum Security was disqualified, but neither horse will race in the Preakness.

Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series: Monster Energy Open/All-Star Race

NASCAR’s All-Star festivities take place tonight at Charlotte Motor Speedway, beginning with the Monster Energy Open, which gives drivers one last shot to qualify for the main event. In the All-Star Race, fans will see NASCAR’s top drivers compete to qualify for the final 10-lap sprint to the finish and $1 million prize.

The fifth annual special that raises money for children in need will again showcase a night of music, comedy and Hollywood’s biggest names. The evening’s performances include The Voice coaches Kelly Clarkson and Blake Shelton, while popular comedic talent will join the fun with their own entertaining Red Nose Day spin. The special will also showcase a fun video reimagining of the classic Hall and Oates hit “You Make My Dreams” with talent including Julianne Hough, Rob Gronkowski and Chrissy Metz. Sketches will feature NBC’s Saturday Night Live star Kate McKinnon. Also included in the special is the highly anticipated short film One Red Nose Day and a Wedding, as well as an appeals film with Milo Ventimiglia to raise awareness for the charity.
