Built on sugar cane production, New Iberia, La., is a complicated town with a strong history of racial divide predating the Civil War and the South’s Jim Crow era that most residents would argue is still very much alive in this town. On March 2, 2014, simmering racial tensions came to a boil when 22-year-old Victor White III was fatally — and suspiciously — shot in the back of a police car while handcuffed and being taken to the station. This documentary chronicles his family’s search for justice.

As dramatic situations unfold on the remote islands, the series flashes back to the real lives of each participant in documentary fashion, demonstrating haunting parallels to the lives they left behind.

Hard Knocks: Training Camp With the Cleveland Browns

The new season of HBO’s Hard Knocks training camp reality series follows the Browns through workouts and the preseason as they try to take a step forward with No. 1 overall draft pick QB Baker Mayfield. The theme this week is homes, and Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman kick off the episode by challenging the Makers to work small and create a hometown terrarium that represents in miniature what makes their hometowns so special. After giving Amy, Nick and the judges a glimpse into their past, the Makers then must embrace their inner child in the Master Craft Challenge, where they create an impressive child’s play collection consisting of a fort and toy for the kids in their lives.
