This Hallmark Hall of Fame movie is based on a book by Mary Alice Monroe and stars Andie MacDowell, Minka Kelly, Chad Michael Murray and Makenzie Vega. When Cara (Kelly) finds her life spinning out of control, she returns to the beach house of her mother (MacDowell), where she connects with her Lowcountry roots and the area’s most endangered residents — its loggerhead turtles. MacDowell reveals that she brought the project to Hallmark after a chance encounter with the book’s author in the Charleston airport. The actress shares, “I bought the book and fell in love with it because I love Southern family stories, especially if they’re a little bit messed up. I like the imperfections of people. I find them very relatable and true.”
