Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G.: “Nobody Talks”

Whodunit? Even two decades later, who really knows? Unlike most TV crime dramas, which solve their mysteries within a tidy hour, this sprawling, intricate and absorbing 10-part docudrama, which premiered last week, takes its time and plays with time as it revisits the fatal 1990s shootings of rap superstars Tupac Shakur and Christopher “The Notorious B.I.G.” Wallace (Marcc Rose and Wavyy Jonez, both uncanny). The busy script also includes illuminating flashbacks that reveal a genuine friendship between the ill-fated rappers, despite their hailing from opposite and warring coasts. In tonight’s episode, Kading and Dupree brief the Biggie Smalls Task Force on the case’s popular theories.

Who doesn’t want to do that?”

It’s a double dose of Jennifer Lopez when the actress plays both herself and Detective Harlee Santos, her character on NBC’s Shades of Blue. “The episode is a show within a show,” reveals Sean Hayes of Jack’s big TV break, when he nabs a part on the crime drama. “It’s Shades of Blue on Will & Grace, but it’s also Jack filming the show Shades of Blue.” Got that? And how hard is playing a corpse for the aspiring actor? Says Hayes: “Even with the smallest part — a dead body — Jack still can’t get it right.”

“Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice!” In Tim Burton’s 1988 horror comedy classic, saying the name of the titular supernatural being (played by Michael Keaton) three consecutive times brought him (as well as plenty of trouble) into the world of the living. The results may not be so dramatic — but they will certainly be fun — as Syfy airs the movie three times in a row today, in honor of its 30th anniversary. Special content will also be featured throughout the marathon.

NBA Basketball: San Antonio at Oklahoma City

Which means the humane society veterinarians and staff in this new reality show will be seeing more than the usual dogs and cats as they cover 5,400 miles of terrain. In tonight’s episode, a dog is listed in serious condition after falling from a three-story building.

It Happened Here
