Shaun White may be a legend, but there could be another one in the making in the form of Australia’s Scotty James, who many are eying for a gold medal as the men’s halfpipe snowboarding competition gets under way. The 2017 Australian Institute Male Athlete of the Year and Winter X Games star finished last year atop the rankings in the World Snowboard Tour and World Cup standings. Figure skating and the women’s slalom in alpine skiing are also on the program.

Abbi Jacobson, Amber Tamblyn, Josh Charles, Jane Krakowski and Jillian Bell are among the featured players in a new episode called, very succinctly, “Sex.” Topics include Margaret Sanger’s crusade to make birth control accessible to all women, as well as the creation of the Kinsey scale of sexual orientation and Gloria Steinem’s journalistic undercover work at the Playboy Club.

Comprised of six 30-minute episodes, this series — the first straight-to-series order for Sundance Now — touches on universal and relatable themes of love and friendship as it follows best friends Kate and Michael (Shoshannah Stern and Josh Feldman, both deaf actors). Kate is newly engaged, while Michael is attempting to move on from his ex-fiancé. The series, which also stars Zach Gilford, Cheryl Hines and Marlee Matlin, was screened as part of the Indie Episodic showcase at this year’s Sundance Film Festival in January.
Valentine’s Day Movie Marathon
