David Bowie: The Last Five Years

Focusing on the artist’s final years, this documentary presents a nuanced look at the evolution of Bowie’s music through archival footage and interviews with the musical legend’s bandmates. Largely focused on Bowie’s final two albums, The Next Day and Blackstar, the film also explores his musical, Lazarus, which he began developing in the midst of his battle with liver cancer.

Martin Scorsese’s movie about the New York Mafia is considered by many to be one of the greatest gangster movies of all time. It is based on the life story of Henry Hill and features the Lufthansa heist at JFK airport where $6 million in cash and jewelry was stolen in 1978. The movie claims that Hill went clean in 1987, after having his identity changed as part of the witness protection program, but he didn’t — he was arrested for narcotics offenses in his later years. However, he ran a restaurant briefly and wrote a cookbook.

Tonight marks the end of Mary McDonnell’s run as Cmdr. Sharon Raydor, a role she carried over from the long-running The Closer procedural, which ended in 2012.
