Jennifer Shannon’s (Lori Loughlin) new client is bass player Lita Merrill (Emily Tennant), who consigns some collectible tour jackets at Rags to Riches before going on the road with country singer John Dalton (Kurt Teixeira). But a few hours before the band is set to take the stage for their first show, Lita quits the band via a cryptic text message and is later found dead in her living room. The official verdict of suicide doesn’t sit right with Jennifer, so she embarks on a solo investigation that yields tantalizing clues, a cleverly executed crime and, ultimately, a coldblooded killer.

William Friedkin returns as host for tonight’s film, the 1962 Cold War suspense thriller The Manchurian Candidate, starring Frank Sinatra, Laurence Harvey and Janet Leigh. Costar Angela Lansbury was nominated for an Academy Award and won a Golden Globe for her supporting role as Mrs. Eleanor Shaw Iselin. Though it was originally released in 1962, it went unseen for years after Sinatra purchased the rights in the 1970s and withdrew the film from circulation.

Princess Diana: Her Life — Her Death — The Truth
