Cut off from the rest of the world, and in some cases each other, the family, friends and adversaries become strange bedfellows, battling the mysterious mist and its threats, fighting to maintain morality and sanity as the rules of society break down.

ABC is revamping its classic competition series while staying true to its ’70s and ’80s roots. Executive producer Will Staeger shares, “We are excited about tapping into America’s nostalgia while bringing a fresh take and big production values to this proven format.” While we can only hope for the resurgence of tube socks and short-shorts, we do know that each action-packed episode will feature celebrities competing against each other in events like swimming, track and field, the obstacle course and tug of war.
