Team USA will play in its first World Baseball Classic championship game when they take the field at Dodger Stadium against Puerto Rico on Wednesday, March 22, at 9pm ET, on MLB Network. The USA punched its ticket to the championship with a 2-1 win over Japan in a close game Tuesday. Puerto Rico needed 11 innings to defeat the Netherlands in Monday’s semifinal matchup. Taking the mound for the USA on Wednesday night is the Toronto Blue Jays’ Marcus Stroman, who will face Puerto Rico’s Seth Lugo of the N.Y. Mets. Puerto Rico beat the USA 6-5 when the teams met in the second round last week.
