Gold Rush Exclusive Preview: Holy Crap Parker! That Washplant Is Going To Go …

Gold Rush exclusive preview

Overwhelmed with water is an understatement in the upcoming new episode of Gold Rush. Discovery Channel’s “MEGA WEEK” continues through the weekend with this mega-packed episode of Gold Rush (Friday at 9/8c). In this exclusive preview, Parker Schnabel and Rick Ness struggle to get things under control at the claim.

A lethal combination of a rain-soaked berm and 3,300 gallons a minute of water being pumped through Parker’s sluice — “Sluice-ifer” — threaten to destroy his entire season. The water is washing away the pad beneath his $600,000 washplant. As the pad is being pummeled with water, and the dirt beneath it being washed down the 60 foot drop, Parker and Rick scramble to try and plug the avalanche filling it with tires and moving dirt but can’t quite get it under control. Watch the preview below.

Not everyone, however, is having bad luck. After last week’s nailbiter that followed Tony Beets and clan trying to transport and launch Kid Commando (the tugboat for the dredge), it looks like the Beets clan will have continued success as he apparently breaks records with the best gold haul in Gold Rush history. On the Todd Hoffman front, it looks like digger deeper may have been the answer to actually finding some gold.

Other Mega Week programming this week includes tonight’s two-hour Fast N’ Loud special (Thursday, Dec. 8 at 9/8c). The guys at Gas Monkey Garage — Aaron and Richard — return to Mattel where they are asked to build a life-sized Red Line Club Car, part of the Hot Wheels’ elite line of higher quality collectible toy cars. They have 10 weeks to create the car and unveil it at Hot Wheels’ Red Line Club party at their headquarters in Southern California.

Immediately following Gold Rush on Friday, Dec. 9, is a new episode of Treasure Quest: Snake Island at 10/9c. And on Saturday, Dec. 10 you can finish the week off with two favorite episodes of Street Outlaws (beginning at 8/7c) where Azn, Big Chief and the rest of the OKC Crew take over the streets of Ennis, Texas.
