In last night’s pre-Vice Presidential Debate episode of Dancing With the Stars, we bid adieu to two couples, but another twosome solidified their status as a couple. Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds and his pro partner Alison Holder were eliminated after Babyface drooled all over his tango, and Rob “Vanilla Ice” Van Winkle and his partner, Witney Carson, got melted out of the ballroom after Ice’s busy touring schedule left little time to practice his waltz.
But the biggest news of the nite was the post-dance engagement of current pros, Sasha Farber and Emma Slater. Just moments after finishing a sensual contemporary dance that ended with a steamy kiss, host Tom Bergeron passed hosting duties onto Farber, who promptly bowed to one knee and asked for his lady love’s hand in marriage. Ms. Slater was joyfully stunned, and gushed an enthusiastic “Yes!”
The ballroom erupted in cheers and tears, and the happy couple was surrounded by their DWTS friends and partners. So many tears! I’m a sucker for romance and admit that I cried too.
Check out the adorable moment here.
Congrats to our Aussie kiddos! Sasha has quickly become a fan favorite pro after stealing our hearts as Season 21’s lovable “Left Crab” and Derek Hough’s injury replacement. And hopefully, this lovely moment makes up for the fact that Emma Slater and her celebrity partner, Texas Governor Rick Perry were eliminated second this season.
