The highly organized and well-planned-out life of Evie Callahan (Tori Anderson) gets turned upside down when she meets charming, free-spirited Xavier Holliday (Joshua Sasse), who believes humankind has a mere eight months and 12 days until a runaway asteroid destroys Earth. Armed with Xavier’s Apocalyst — things he wants to do before the world ends — Evie must decide if she’s ready to follow Xavier’s lead and live like there’s no tomorrow. Anderson admits to creating her own Apocalyst, and she’s not waiting for impending doom to get started on it. “I want to go surfing in Bali, which I’m going to do after we finish production,” she gushes.

At the end of last season, Barry made the fateful decision to travel back in time and save his mother from the Reverse-Flash. In doing so, he created an alternative timeline where his mother is still alive. Series executive producer Andrew Kreisberg explains that this season will pick up with Barry living with “this new version of events, and having to deal with both the benefits that that’s produced for him and also some of the costs.”

The Voice: “The Best of the Blind Auditions”

Driver vs. Driver

Think of this new reality competition series as Shark Tank for golf. Driver vs. Driver features 11 finalists trying to win $500,000 and have their concept turned into the new Wilson Staff driver. The winning driver is revealed in the season finale Nov. 22, and the club will be in retail stores Black Friday, Nov. 25. Judges are former Chicago Bears linebacker and avid golfer Brian Urlacher, former USGA technical director Frank Thomas and president of Wilson Golf Tim Clarke. Two-time PGA Tour winner and Wilson Advisory Staff member Kevin Streelman joins as a judge in Episode 3.

This season, Oliver will become the city’s new mayor, and executive producer Wendy Mericle hints, “We’re going to be exploring him as a hero — both in a very kind of traditional sense as the mayor, and also as the Green Arrow.” Other teases for the season include the introduction of the character Vigilante, and Dolph Lundgren playing a Russian bad guy.

A talented tight end may not be what folks expect from the channel that made the Kardashians a hit, but this Bachelor-ish docu-hoot centered around the surprisingly single Kansas City Chiefs stud Travis Kelce is making a play anyway. “I’ve been so focused on finding success that I haven’t had much time to really think about my personal life,” says the NFL player on why he tackled this show. “I don’t have much time to meet girls, so when the opportunity presented itself, I thought, ‘What do I have to lose?’” In the opener, Kelce cuts 50 women (one from each state) down to 20 before introducing them to his football buddies, including older brother Jason of the Philadelphia Eagles. “These ladies made it very hard. I genuinely wanted more time,” he confesses, confirming that his eight-episode dating game results in a successful completion. “I ended up finding a great girl.” Touchdown!

Following dinner, Platt is physically assaulted as she’s getting into her car and is rushed to Chicago Med. Voight (Jason Beghe), Lindsay (Sophia Bush) and Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) arrive at the hospital to investigate, and a concerned Mouch (guest star Christian Stolte) finds himself being questioned. Meanwhile, Antonio (Jon Seda) leads the rest of Intelligence at the scene as they look into previous threats against Platt, but his attention shifts when he is called into Robert’s townhouse and finds signs of an even more gruesome attack on Platt’s father.

After becoming the first ever nonfiction work to open the New York Film Festival, Ava DuVernay’s (Selma, Queen Sugar) documentary comes to Netflix and a limited theatrical run this month. The film, whose title refers to the 13th Amendment to the Constitution that formally abolished slavery in America, chronicles the history of racial inequality in the United States.

This film depicts the 1961 siege of a 150-strong Irish United Nations battalion under Cmdr. Patrick Quinlan (Jamie Dornan) by 3,000 Congolese troops led by French and Belgian mercenaries working for mining companies. Guillaume Canet also stars as a French commander who sought to defeat Quinlan and his men.

MacGyver: “Awl”

With a rhythmic gymnastics championship and a spot on the varsity hockey team on the line, Ellie and Jack must figure out how to get back in their own bodies before the swap becomes permanent.

Getting passed over for hosting the annual Welltopia HMO banquet has Dr. Ken Park (Ken Jeong) spiraling in tonight’s episode of Dr. Ken. Even worse is finding out that his sardonic boss, Pat (Dave Foley), nabbed the gig instead. “Pat says, ‘Maybe they wanted more thinking-man comedy, not desperate-man comedy,’” says Jeong. Ouch! Back on the home front, Ken’s preteen son, Dave (Albert Tsai), tries to shake an overly interested neighbor who stares at him through the kitchen window. “The stalker is played by my real-life daughter, Zooey,” Jeong says of his 9-year-old. The young Jeong doesn’t have any lines. “Zooey is a master of deadpan stares,” Jeong says. “I wrote this with her in mind. It turned out better than I expected.”

Hawaii Five-0: “He Moho Hou (New Player)”

Comedy Central’s Academented Weekend features some of the most raucous coming-of-age comedies beginning Saturday with Justin Long and Jonah Hill in Accepted (2006) and continuing with The To Do List (2013), Sex Drive (2008) and Road Trip (2000). Sunday features an airing of the 1984 classic Revenge of the Nerds.

All-Star Halloween Spectacular

The biggest stars from Food Network, HGTV and Travel Channel team up in Sin City for the ultimate Halloween adventure. First, Drew Scott and Tia Mowry team up against Jonathan Scott and Duff Goldman to create two life-sized haunted houses right on the Las Vegas Strip, full of over-the-top special effects, tasty treats and freaky concoctions. Travel Channel’s Adam Richman joins the fun, helping out both teams until it’s time for the public to name a winner, with that creative team winning money for the charity of their choice.
