When Does Dance Moms Return? And What’s With the Cats?

The cat has never had her tongue. Dance Moms' Abby Lee Miller.

Neither fraud conviction nor Ziegler defection nor — well, we guess, much of anything — can keep Abby Lee Miller and her reality show off of Lifetime. Yes, people, Dance Moms will return for the second half of its sixth season on Tuesday, Sept. 6 at 9/8CT.

Though Miller could be sentenced to up to 30 months in jail after pleading guilty to bankruptcy fraud (she learns her fate on Oct. 11), the show must apparently go on. No. Matter. What.

And with star sisters Maddie and Mackenzie Ziegler and their Abby-acolyte mom Melissa off to greener pastures, and hair-bow-loving spitfire — and frequent Miller target — JoJo Siwa rumored to be dunzo, too, the network did the perfectly sensible thing in creating a tease for the new episodes.

It used a cat in a wig and tutu-clad kittens.

And Tabby Lee Miller is no kinder than her human counterpart. Dare we say, no pussy cat.

Homage to Abby’s apparent nine lives with the network? Or Dance Moms‘ endless cat fights? We certainly know that the cat will never, not ever, have Abby Lee’s tongue. And that she knows more than one way to verbally skin a dancer.

Or maybe this is what the show is going to look like when Season 6 returns. In which case, we might tune in.

  1. I loved the show so much i wish it could just start over. She ought to just bring in new little ones and continue the show. After all its about the little ones dancing.that what i loved watching them to learn to dance and grow up doing it.

  2. Lori!!! Will you be providing us with your amazing commentary? The remainder of this season I think is going to be like a car-wreck, you don’t want to watch, but can’t just drive by either lol.
