2016 PGA Championship TV Schedule on TNT and CBS

Wait. Isn’t it a little early for the PGA Championship? Golf’s fourth and final major moves up a few weeks due to the Olympic golf tournament at the Rio Games Aug. 11-14. Based on the number of top players who’ve decided to skip the Olympic tournament, the PGA Championship probably could’ve kept its usual spot on the calendar. It will be some time (or maybe never?) until until the golf universe hold an Olympic golf title in the same prestige as winning one of the majors.

The 2016 PGA Championship takes place July 28-31 at Baltrusol Golf Club in Springfield, N.J., as golf’s best look to win the Wanamaker Trophy and cap off the major season in a big way. Last year’s PGA Championship winner and world No. 1 Jason Day looks for a repeat title. He’ll be challenged by Dustin Johnson, Jordan Spieth, Rory McIlroy, Henrik Stenson, Bubba Watson, Rickie Fowler, Adam Scott, Danny Willett and Sergio Garcia. TNT and CBS combine to televise all four rounds of the tournament July 28-31.

  1. Poor 1st round coverage by TNT, at least what was rebroadcasted through TSN1 in Canada. I like Michael Breed but he was in a no win situation trying to create commentary on one group for a few hours. Willett, Stenson and Dustin Johnson were not even playing that well. Did they only have one camera crew?
