As one relationship begins to crumble, another starts to bloom in this week’s episode of Devious Maids. Let’s get to the drama!
Oh no they didn’t! Did I really just watch Jesse and Daniela during their first casual hook-up? I’m still hopeful that Jesse and Marisol will get back together. Doesn’t look like that’s happening any time soon.
Danni was so excited to share the news about landing a singing showcase with Carmen…until her mother came from around the corner. Looks like Carmen also had a surprise to share with Danni. Danni’s mom came all the way out to California to take Danni back home. Yikes!
Uh, oh. Looks like Zoila is having problems in her dream world. After Kyle went away for a while, Zoila became closer with his mother, Frances. Zoila thought that this would help her relationship with Kyle and now that he’s back from his trip, she’d pay him a nice visit. Unfortunately, Kyle has other plans. He tells Zoila that it’s nice they could still stay friends. I guess since the two didn’t talk while he was away, that was Kyle’s hint that he wasn’t feeling the relationship anymore. The best thing Kyle can manage is give Zoila a candle as a gift for their time together. Dear Lord, someone help this man!
It’s obvious that Shannon isn’t upset over the death of her sister, Peri. In her mind, buying zebra bathing suits is the appropriate way to mourn her sister. Rosie is smarter than everyone thinks. She’s watching Shannon’s every move and is noticing the lack of attention that Shannon pays to Tucker.
It’s time that Evelyn faces her new reality, living without the luxuries her money once bought her. Marisol can’t continue to have Evelyn living with her since she’s charging everything on Marisol’s credit card. Marisol tells Evelyn the most hideous thing Ev’s ever heard: “Get a job.” But Marisol is right! Evelyn needs to put on her big-girl pants and prove that Adrian doesn’t own her. Now get to work, Evelyn!
EW! Now Adrian is moving on … to Zoila? While out to eat with Frances, Zoila tries to hide from Adrian, afraid of blowing her cover. Instead, she falls on the floor, making Adrian run over to the rescue. Frances introduces Adrian to Zoila, because she’s now a matchmaker, and Adrian says he’s never met Zoila before. He would’ve definitely remembered someone as enchanting as Zoila. Barf. What is with this guy?
After Carmen ruined Danni’s dreams, she feels bad about telling Danni’s mom everything and wants to help Danni get to the showcase. Since Plan A with the celebrity homes tour didn’t work on Danni’s mom, Carmen’s Plan B was locking her in a room. Let’s see how this works out.
Rosie is positive that Shannon had something to do with her sister’s murder. Since Cinnamon is still nowhere to be found, Rosie does a little investigating of her own. Rosie isn’t able to find anything incriminating Shannon before she comes home, forcing Rosie to hide under the bed. However, Rosie does witness Shannon and Ben talking about Shannon’s shopping sprees looking suspicious. Poor Rosie has to stay quiet under the bed while Shannon and Ben hook up once again.
Adrian may have let Danni’s mom out, but Carmen convinces her to let Danni sing, now that they’re at the showcase. Carmen has performed at plenty of these showcases and knows that Danni will sing her heart out, but no one will pursue her for a singing career. Wow, that’s depressing.
Evelyn just can’t leave her former fabulous life behind. She steals Marisol’s card to do a little $6,000 shopping spree … which scores her a free bracelet. Handcuffs!
Frances sets up a date between Adrian and Zoila. Yup, it wasn’t a great one for Zoila, but apparently it was one to remember for Adrian, because Zoila’s resistance reminds him of Evelyn. In fact, he thinks the night went so well that he kisses Zoila! Barf again! Frances makes sure that Kyle can see the kiss happen through the window. It seems like Kyle is upset that Zoila’s moved on, but Frances couldn’t be happier.
Oh snap! I knew someone was going to spill the beans. Carmen was trying to convince her sister to let Danni stay in California to pursue a singing career because Carmen thinks Danni is actually more talented than her. That means something if Carmen is saying it.
Of course the issue of Carmen trying to decide what is right for Danni arises and the sisters start to argue. Right as Danni walks through the door, Carmen says that she’s the one who gave birth to her. A shocked Danni tells the two sisters to stay away from her, not giving them any time to explain themselves. I think Danni just needs some time to cool off and think about everything before she tries to talk to either of her moms.
Rosie overhears Shannon and Ben talking about “The Circle.” Spence doesn’t know what it is, but I think Genevieve is about to find out. Since Rosie doesn’t have much time to become Genevieve’s new friend, Genevieve is now becoming closer to her hairstylist, Fabian. He hands her a book that all his friends read called, Joynetics: Completing the Circle.
Rosie goes to visit Spence and let him know about this mysterious circle. After chatting for a short while, Spence starts to heat up, sweating and and telling Rosie that he can’t breathe. All of a sudden Spence falls to the ground and Rosie is pounding on the glass from the other side begging for help. Did The Circle do this?
What were your thoughts on this episode of Devious Maids? Do you like the new relationships that are blooming? Jesse and Danni or Adrian and Zoila? Why do you think Frances is keeping Kyle away from Zoila? It seems like this isn’t the first time she’s made him leave a girl. She’d be one serious monster-in-law! Do you think Evelyn will go back to Adrian? If Marisol can put up with Evelyn, I know she’ll help her stay away from Adrian. What is this “Circle” and why does Genevieve’s new BFF want her to join?
