BET Awards 2016: When to Watch

The BET Awards 2016, the 16th annual installment, will air live Sunday, June 26, at 8pm ET on BET (simulcast on Comedy Central and TeenNick), from Los Angeles. Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross (pictured, and who are also both nominees this year, for Best Actor and Best Actress, respectively) will host the ceremony for the second time.

The BET Awards recognize artists, entertainers and athletes across 20 categories. Nominations are selected by BET’s Voting Academy, which is comprised of fans and an esteemed group of entertainment professionals in the fields of television, film, music, social media, digital marketing, sports journalism, public relations and creative arts.

Drake leads the list of entertainers with nine nominations, including Best Male Hip Hop Artist, Video of the Year and Best Collaboration for “Where Ya At” with Future. Beyoncé and Rihanna follow with five nods each. Beyoncé’s nominations include Best Female R&B/Pop Artist, Video of the Year, and Best Collaboration for “Feeling Myself” with Nicki Minaj. Rihanna is in the running for awards including Best Female R&B/Pop Artist, Video of the Year, and Best Collaboration, for “Work” featuring Drake. Other nominees include newcomer Bryson Tiller, who is up for four awards including Best Male R&B/Pop Artist. Also with four nominations: Chris Brown, whose nominations include Best Male R&B/Pop Artist and Video Director of the Year; and Future, up for categories including Best Male Hip Hop Artist and the Coca-Cola Viewers’ Choice Award.

In the U.S., the BET Awards 2016 airs live June 26 at 8pm ET on BET. It will be simulcast on sister Viacom networks Comedy Central and TeenNick.

The BET Awards 2016 will also premiere around the world on BET’s international network, airing in the UK on June 28 at 9pm BST; in Africa on June 28 at 7pm CAT; and in France on June 29 at 9pm CEST.
