Online streaming service Crackle released the kick-ass trailer for its zombocalypse sequel, Dead Rising: Endgame. The movie is based on the popular video game franchise Dead Rising and is the follow-up to the 2015 flick, Dead Rising: Watchtower. The film will be available for free streaming via the Crackle app for TVs, connected devices, game consoles and mobile devices, or online beginning on June 20.
Returning in their respective roles are Jesse Metcalfe (Desperate Housewives, Dallas, upcoming Chesapeake Shores) as online reporter Chase Carter, Keegan Connor Tracy (Once Upon a Time, Bates Motel) as his cameraperson Jordan, and Dennis Haysbert (24, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For) as General Lyons. Marie Avgeropoulos (The 100), Billy Zane (Zoolander 2, Titanic), and Jessica Harmon (iZombie) are new to the production.
In the action-packed sequel, investigative reporter Chase Carter (Metcalfe) tries to stop a secret government conspiracy that will halt a zombie epidemic but also kill millions of innocent civilians. I’m a fan of any movie trailer where the characters go full-on MacGyver, and I hope that the filmmakers have added more comedy to the film. ‘Cause even when the world is ending, you gotta laugh sometimes.
