E!’s Live From the Red Carpet Makes Its Met Gala Debut Tonight

It’s one of the high-profile social events of the year, has been known as “the Oscars of the East Coast, and features tons of beautiful celebrities dressed to the nines. So it’s kind of surprising that the E! network’s Live From the Red Carpet franchise has not yet covered the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s annual Met Gala. That situation will be remedied tonight, May 2, when E! cameras will be on hand live on the Met Gala’s red carpet beginning at 7:30pm ET/PT.

Things actually get somewhat underway at 7pm ET/PT with E! News talking about anticipated fashion trends for the evening, along with running down which A-list attendees will be on hand. Then at 7:30pm, Giuliana Rancic and Zanna Roberts Rassi, along with Olivia Culpo and celebrity stylist Johnny Wujek, break down the high-end fashion that will be on parade. Catt Sadler and Zuri Hall will go one-one-one with the biggest names in entertainment and fashion as they cross the red carpet.

The coverage will be multiplatform. Britanny Hampton serves as social media correspondent to bring fans live video updates from the event on the E! News Facebook page. Tomorrow, May 3, Live From E! will review all of the trending stories from the event on the E! News Facebook Live page and at eonline.com at 12:30pm ET. E! News will provide analysis of the Met Gala and after party at 7pm ET/PT on May 3, followed by Melissa Rivers, Brad Goreski, Margaret Cho, NeNe Leakes and Tim Gunn (probably snarkily) recapping and reviewing the night’s fashions and over-the-top ensembles on Fashion Police at 8pm ET/PT.
