H2 becomes Viceland Feb. 29

On Feb. 29, H2 becomes Viceland, a 24-hour lifestyle channel aimed at millennials. According to filmmaker and creative director of the new channel Spike Jones, “It feels like most channels are just a collection of shows. We wanted Viceland to be different, to feel like everything on there has a reason to exist and a strong point of view. [The shows on Viceland are] all unscripted shows, made by filmmakers. We’re trying to make a channel that’s personal, that feels like a group of people trying to understand the world we live in.”

  1. Whomever thought this channel up is a complete moron and should be fired! H2 was probably the best channel on tv!

  2. I need my H2!!! OMG!!! I thought I got into dementia not remembering channel number. Served all channels over again. What is going on? Where is my ancien stuff?

  3. Vice land is stupid bullshit. I watched H2 all the time. Hope you go broke Spike Jones. You’re an idiot.

  4. I’m totally lost without H2. It was my favorite channel with interesting and entertaining shows. I don’t watch History because I have no desire to watch such unentertaining programming like Pawn Stars and American Pickers all day long.
I can’t get into the garbage on the new channel. The commercials for the shows were annoying enough. First thing I saw on it was two people sitting around giggling like school girls at voice mails. How thought provoking and entertaining. Bring back H2 and put that garbage in the dump where it belongs.

    • Dido! History channel itself barely has any decent history oriented programming. H2 gave me an alternative when History was airing some nonsense ie, Pawn Stars, American Pickers, and so on!

  5. Dang… I watched H2 more than History channel. History channel is usually airing some reality type show that I have zero interest in. H2 typically had something interesting on. Guess it’s down to AHC and Science channel in my regular rotation… Viceland appears to be garbage.

  6. Very upset with this decision. H2 was a favorite of mine – it is what I turned to when the History Channel stopped showing history. Viceland is a sad excuse for a replacement. BOYCOTT!

  7. Totally pissed .what ( gaycation ) are you kidding whoever thought I would want to watch this c… needs to be fired

  8. This is nuts!!!! Gangstas and Weed kids and weed grown-ups. If I want to see this trash, I’ll go to places in this city where you find such crap. You people are complete jackasses. I enjoyed the H2 programming. Spike Jones, you’re a mindless zombie. More garbage to fill our screens. I will never watch this crap. What the hell is a “Noisey????” I’ll tell you what it is: devolution, baby. A bunch of degenerates.

  9. What a ridiculous decision! H2 was an interesting channel, had great programming, was a favorite in our home. I can only think that A&E is going to lose TONS of viewers, and rightfully so. Hopefully they will realize what a horrible mistake they’ve made. That type of garbage programming is not going to last long.

  10. Horrible!! I won’t be watching anything on Vice! I’m so disappointed, H2 was our favorite. Viceland is so trashy. I won’t allow anyone to watch it in my house. Any program that has a show with the word F*** in the title shouldn’t be allowed on regular cable! Put it on HBO. What are we teaching our children?!! Completly despicable!!

  11. I have ZERO interest in the new Viceland programming and will not be watching any of that garbage. I will be contacting the businesses and products who are advertising to let them know they will be loosing money and my business for advertising on this worthless channel.

  12. what a joke. viceland is a piece of crap full of questionable programming about gay lifestyles and smoking dope. like we really need to teach our kids more about that subject. H2 was entertaining TV. I was told by DirecTV that some of the programming would be moved to the History Channel but I still dont see it on the guide. History channel has become a joke, most days you have to watch the same show over and over for most of the day. Whoever made this decision should be fired.

  13. I am really disappointed that they have taken H2 off. I guess we are dumbing down everything. I loved to watch history and science but now we get to watch stupid crap that A&E has decided is best for everyone. I’m thinking about ditching cable and going back to the basics. At least we have PBS for education.

  14. Now I know where the aliens have landed and dropped off all their stupid people it’s on viceland TV it replaced h2 which was the best thing on tv to watch if you wanted to learn something we need more history and learning channels than stupid ones like this please put back h2 viceland is total garbage PS I really hope they do something with this feedback I hope they take it seriously and just not toss it to the side I am really pissed about this and I’m sure others are too

  15. Bad news!
This Vice is a total cheap crap, as it stands. We need more Science and History, there are plenty of vices around…..Get back H2

  16. Put viceland on HBO where it belongs!! I know a lot of people who watch H2 and it WAS one of my only go to channels left. BUMMER!!!!!!

  17. Turned on H2 last night and saw total Garbage on my favorite channel called Viceland! It is now blocked on my TV! I also complained to Dish. Take off this garbage and bring back our H2. Totally disgusted with A&E!
