In last week’s recap of Wicked City, I noted that the nobody seems to be canceling anything this season, including Wicked City … but the show’s abymsally-low ratings have caught up to it. No more killing for Kent Grainger … that character is dead, along with his show, after just 3 episodes. Wicked City‘s timeslot has, for the time being, been filled with Shark Tank reruns.

Marking the first time it is using the Kindle platform for advertising purposes, ABC is giving Kindle users the chance to download, for free, the pilot episode script for its new fall series Revenge, starring Emily VanCamp, Madeleine Stowe and Gabriel Mann. Up until the Sept. 21 premiere of the show, users of any Kindle device or application will be able to get the script at the Kindle store. The pilot episode was written by executive producer Mike Kelley (Swingtown).

ABC and its syndicated distribution arm have some notable premieres Monday, Sept. 9, as The View welcomes Jenny McCarthy as new co-host, replacing Joy Behar, and Katie, hosted by Katie Couric, begins its second season. The View‘s decision to hire Jenny McCarthy as co-host alongside Barbara Walters (who begins her final season with Monday’s episode), Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Shepherd, was met with some criticism, due to McCarthy having been outspoken on her discredited beliefs that childhood vaccines can lead to autism. Best new show in a long time. ABC is always canceling their shows. Makes you not want to start watching because you get hooked and they cut it like so many they have done already. Give it a chance to succeed…3 shows is not enough to see what ratings will be especially since a lot of people dvr their shows.

Wicked city was one of the best shows on TV. What’s next,ABC canceling general hospital. I think they stink for doing so. Shame on you.
