STAMFORD, Conn. – Oct. 22, 2015 – The 2015 Formula One Drivers’ Championship can be decided on American soil for the first time in more than 30 years on network television this weekend, as NBC Sports presents live coverage of the United States Grand Prix from Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, this Sunday at 3 p.m. ET on NBC. Sunday’s coverage begins with F1 Countdown at 2:30 p.m. ET on NBC.

NBC, NBCSN and NBC Sports Live Extra will combine to air live coverage of all three practices, qualifying and Sunday’s grand prix, beginning with live coverage of Practice 1 this Friday at 11 a.m. ET on NBCSN. Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton is on the verge of his third career and second consecutive F1 title, and will need to outscore Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel by nine points and Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg by two points to clinch the title. If Hamilton secures the title, it would mark the first time the F1 Drivers’ Championship was decided on American soil since 1982. Click here for more information on clinching scenarios.
