The Big Bang Theory Season 9

In The Big Bang Theory Season 8 finale, “The Commitment Determination,” relationships took a hit as Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy (Mayim Bialik) broke up, and Raj (Kunal Nayyar) and Emily (Laura Spencer) appeared to be on the rocks as well. Season 9 picks up with “The Matrimonial Momentum” (Monday, Sept. 21, at 8pm ET/PT on CBS) in which Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Penny (Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting) drive to Las Vegas to elope, but Penny struggles with Leonard’s confession that he kissed another girl. Also, Sheldon doesn’t know how to act after Amy pushes pause on their relationship. Guest star Laurie Metcalf returns as Sheldon’s mother. TBBT airs Mondays and returns to its regular Thursday time slot in November.
