Tonight on Dancing With The Stars, it’s the first of a two-night event where the dances are in homage to home towns. The dances we see today will give us insight to the formative years of our celebrities, and tomorrow we are treated to all-new dances, and the pros get to teach us about their pre-fame lives.

This week’s double episodes mean double trouble too: One couple will be eliminated tonight and another couple will be sent home after tomorrow’s show. The couple eliminated tonight will be based on last week’s judges scores and viewer votes, while tomorrow’s elimination is based on The scores and votes from Monday, so don’t forget to vote!

Judges’ Scores From Last Week’s Premiere (from highest to lowest):
Bindi Irwin & Derek Hough – 24 out of 30
Nick Carter & Sharna Burgess – 24 out of 30
Carlos PenaVega & Witney Carson – 23 out of 30
Tamar Braxton & Valentin Chmerkovskiy – 23 out of 30

Nick Carter & Sharna Burgess 1-855-234-5610
Hometown: Tampa Bay, Florida
Dancing Jive to “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy” by The Andrews Sisters
Nick is dedicating his dance to a special Tampa Bay-area dance teacher who made him who he is. I love that he used that arts as a way to escape a rough upbringing. Yay for arts education! Nick’s kicks and flicks were a little messy, and he slipped and slid around the dance floor in his glitter shoes, but he’s a great entertainer nonetheless.
Julianne: You were a little bit messy, not as strong as last week, but a great way to start off the night.
Bruno: I feel like I’ve had a double espresso; you woke me up!
Carrie Ann: It was rough; I’m surprised.
Judges Scores: Carrie Ann: 7, Julianne: 7, Bruno: 7, total: 21 out of 30.

Paula Deen & Louis van Amstel 1-855-234-5611
Hometown: Savannah, Georgia
Dancing Rhumba to “Midnight Train to Georgia” By Gladys Night & The Pips
This week, our Georgia Peach has a poodle atop her head as she’s channeling Savannah, GA. Paula stopped at her restaurant to thrill her patrons and get some of her yummy cooking. I am so glad to see Paula in a short dress; she has fantastic legs!
Bruno: What a lovely journey on the Paula express! There was a slight unscheduled stop, but we went to Georgia, my darling!
Carrie Ann: You’re giving us a little hometown glory and a little more. You were amazing!
Julianne: You shook those nerves off from last week and you showed your true self.
Judges Scores: Carrie Ann: 7, Julianne: 6, Bruno: 6, total: 19 out of 30.

Hayes Grier & Emma Slater 1-855-234-5608
Hometown: Mooresville, North Carolina
Dancing Foxtrot to “This is How We Roll” by Florida Georgia Line
Hayes grew up Dirt biking, jet skiing and boating with his close-knit family and made the bold choice to ride a dirt bike on stage! Props can backfire, but he pulled it off. And his Momma is so proud! After his dance, Hayes was shedding happy tears.
Carrie Ann: I didn’t’ like the motorbike, you didn’t need it. You can dance!
Julianne: I couldn’t stop smiling.
Bruno: You remind me of a young Tom Cruise in Risky Business.
Judges Scores: Carrie Ann: 8, Julianne: 7, Bruno: 7, total: 22 out of 30.

Chaka Khan & Keo Motsepe 1-855-234-5606
Hometown: Chicago, IL
Dancing Foxtrot to “Chicago” by Frank Sinatra
The queen of Funk loves Chitown; and she considers herself lucky to be born there. And this dance reminds her of her dad who she sais had a very Frank Sinatra vibe. Keo looks hot as usual, but I would have loved to see Chaka in something brighter. She’s too vibrant for her dark dress.
Julianne: Once you started dancing, it was a very nice improvement.
Bruno: Once you got going, it was like cruising along Lake Michigan. You hit a rick or two, but you didn’t sink.
Carrie Ann: You made a mistake, but you didn’t love your smile.
Judges Scores: Carrie Ann: 5, Julianne: 5, Bruno: 5, total: 15 out of 30.

Andy Grammer & Allison Holker 1-855-234-5603
Hometown: New York, New York
Dancing Jive to “Only The Good Die Young” by Billy Joel
Andy grew up an hour upstate of NYC, but he grew as an artist in the Big Apple. Andy and Allison look like they’re having a blast, but the entire dance felt rushed.
Bruno: I loved the attack, I loved the energy. But you went off [step] so many times.
Carrie Ann: You have a lot of potential, but it was a mess.
Julianne: It started so strong … but then it got a little it off.
Judges Scores: Carrie Ann: 7, Julianne: 7, Bruno: 7, total: 21 out of 30.

Kim Zolciak Biermann & Tony Dovolani 1-855-234-5609
Hometown: Atlanta, CA
Dancing Quickstep to “Queen Bee” by Rochelle Diamante
Kim is from Connecticut, but she says that in the ATL, all of her dreams came true. I have to agree with someone else who mentioned this, but Kim looks beautiful when she’s not all made up. And this dance was so fun and vibrant. Kim was much more in her element and I’m glad to see such an improvement.
Carrie Ann: You just gave us “Pow! Pow!”
Julianne: How did that feel for you? Kim: I loved it. It was you and it was so much better.
Bruno: She’s alive! She’s alive! It’s the most unexpected comeback since Lazarus.
Judges Scores: Carrie Ann: 7, Julianne: 6, Bruno: 6, total: 19 out of 30.

Alek Skarlatos & Lindsay Arnold 1-855-234-5601
Hometown: Sacramento, California
Dancing Jazz to “Don’t Stop Believing” by Journey
Alek is as strong as a tank, and he tosses Lindsay as well as any of DWTS’ male athletes, but he’s also surprisingly graceful. He also has the hilariously embarrassing habit of adding sound effects into all of his moves, which is incredibly endearing.
Julianne: You were right there equal with Lindsay.
Bruno: I definitely believe in you. Last week was not a fluke. You have range.
Carrie Ann: I was intoxicated with that performance.
Judges Scores: Carrie Ann: 8, Julianne: 7, Bruno: 8, total: 23 out of 30.

Alexa PenaVega & Mark Ballas 1-855-234-5602
Hometown: Ocala, Florida
Dancing Salsa to “Lelo Lei Lelo Jai” by Julián
This week, Alexa is channeling her Colombian roots. And Mark, being Mark, has a crazy theatrical concept where Alexa is a panther. Mee-ow, Alexa is smoking! Her lifts were sexy and strong
Bruno: You were wild and wonderful.
Carrie Ann: You set this house on fire! I am so happy. This week, Damn!
Julianne: There was no denying the connection this week; you were sexy, you were string, you were sassy.
Judges Scores: Carrie Ann: 8, Julianne: 8, Bruno: 8, total: 24 out of 30.

Victor Espinoza & Karina Smirnoff 1-855-234-5613
Hometown: Hidalgo, Mexico
Dancing Jive to “La Bamba” by Ritchie Valens
Oh, Victor. This was a mess. From your penis-perching sombrero to the messy, messy end, it was bad. . Did you learn this dance as you were dancing? Because that’s how it looked.
Carrie Ann: If I could score you on enthusiasm, I’d give you a 10.
Julianne: That was the most festive and fun jive I’ve ever seen.
Bruno: La Bamba’s gone bananas!
Judges Scores: Carrie Ann: 6, Julianne: 5, Bruno: 6, total: 17 out of 30.

Tamar Braxton & Valentin Chmerkovskiy 1-855-234-5612
Hometown: Sevrin, Maryland
Dancing the Cha Cha to “We Are Family” by Sister Sledge
I never really thought “We Are Family” was a song worthy of body rolls, but I guess Val could sexualize “The A-B-Cs” sexy.
Julianne: I loved it more than anything … that was your element.
Bruno: One night only, the Dreamgirls are back in town. (and Bruno used the F-word)
Carrie Ann: You are in a class of your own.
Judges Scores: Carrie Ann: 8, Julianne: 8, Bruno: 8, total: 24 out of 30.

Gary Busey & Anna Trebunskaya 1-855-234-5607
Hometown: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Dancing a Foxtrot to “Wouldn’t It Be Nice” by The Beach Boys
Gary is channeling his childhood love of football into this week’s dance. I just adore seeing pictures of all of the celebrities when they were kids. This dance is much more Gary’s speed, and he is really charming on the dance floor (And he looks a little like Dick VanDyke.) “I’m here to stay” Busey yelled at the end of his performance.
Bruno: What a pleasant surprise!
Carrie Ann: You were right on the edge, but you didn’t miss a step.
Julianne: You’re exuding an energy of a 12-year-old boy.
Judges Scores: Carrie Ann: 6, Julianne: 6, Bruno: 6, total: 18 out of 30.

Carlos PenaVega & Witney Carson 1-855-234-5605
Hometown: Columbia, Missourri
Dancing Foxtrot to “I Wanna Go Home” By Michael Buble
It’s hard to imaging Carlos as a country boy, but he grew up listening to his father serenade him with Latin-tinged country music. How fitting that this sentimental Buble tune got a rural makeover. It was sweet, gentle and romantic.
Carrie Ann: Carlos, you’re a contender. You were delicate and eloquent.
Julianne: You have so much ease and natural ability.
Bruno: It had a moody-shaded moment, like a classic movie.
Judges Scores: Carrie Ann: 8, Julianne: 8, Bruno: 8, total: 24 out of 30.

Bindi Irwin & Derek Hough 1-855-234-5604
Hometown: Buderim, Australia
Dancing Tango to “You Shook Me All Night Long” by AC/DC
Bindi lives in utter paradise. Sweet Bindi reveals that she’s a heavy metal fan, that’s the music her parents listened to when she was a little girl. Who can imaging that this fairy princess is a metalhead! She and Derek were a lot of fun, and unfortunately, the camera people had a few missteps while shooting the dance.
Julianne: You are one of the most bubbly people I’ve ever met, but you have this little rock star inside.
Bruno: Where is that coming from? You’re a rock chick!
Carrie Ann: You rocked! You guys just saw it; did she rock your world?
Judges Scores: Carrie Ann: 9, Julianne: 8, Bruno: 8, total: 25 out of 30.

After Bindi and Derek tore up the dance floor, we moved right into the night’s elimination. Chaka and Keo were the first couple announced as in jeopardy, then Gary and Anna followed. The first couple eliminated this season is Chaka and Keo, which is a shame. Someday, Dancing With the Stars will give Keo a partner worthy of his talent.
