Recap: Naked And Afraid XL, Episode 6: 40 Days Sacrifice

Naked And Afraid XL, Episode 6

At the end of last week’s episode of Naked and Afraid XL, Jeff, EJ and Shane’s slumber was disrupted by a late-night visitor. The show’s producers aren’t sure if it was a jaguarundi or a crab-eating fox, but either way, that is a gato no bueno.

In this week’s episode, we rejoin the alpha male tribe moments after the growl woke them. I’m guessing this is the last sleep they’ll get tonight. If it was me, I may never sleep again.

Day 25
Early in the morning, Alana and Danielle move closer to the extraction point —and what do you know, they’re heading where everyone else is: Piranha Lake!

Naked And Afraid XL, Episode 6
I’ve got to hand it to Alana and Danielle, They sure survive in style!

Danielle is leaving a fruit and cashew-rich area in order to be closer to the extraction point while she still has the energy for such a strenuous hike. I think this could be a misstep for her. She has seemingly found the one area of the ecosystem that can support a vegetarian like herself; the other groups moves because a lack of protein and she isn’t willing to eat the animals that seem plentiful at Piranha Lake.

Once the sun is up, Shane, EJ and Jeff check out the giant paw prints left behind by last night’s’ visitor. And they are gigantic! Maybe they should consider putting a “wall of sticks”/ branches around their sleeping platform, like they do in Africa to deter lions?

The group of five — Eva, Laura, Dani Luke and Chris — have set up a temporary camp about a 1/4 mile away from the three men. They’ve finished the last of their dried mangos, and are read to hunt for food, and build themselves a more permanent shelter.

Even though Shane has eaten protein, she still so dehydrated that his body isn’t working correctly. He should spend a day being committed to rehydrating or he’s going to end up leaving!

While Jeff shows the group around the area, Chris sees two eels. The team makes a plan “I’m ready to get shocked,” says Luke, as he uses his arm to make a mini-wall to try to keep the eel in a small pool of water. It isn’t long before he’s shocked, stunned and the eel escapes. “You don’t play patty-cake with an electric eel,” laughs EJ, who has been watching from the shore.

Danielle and Alana are still trudging across the sweltering Savannah. It is a long, hot walk and before long, they find the group of 5 who welcome them into their group. Shane isn’t thrilled to see his former teammates, but Alana and Danielle are excited to work with others.

Naked And Afraid XL, Episode 6
Wanna know what’s better than a team of 5? A team of 7!!!

Once the three men join the group for a pow-wow, they decide that they want to remain a three person team, leave the group and start building their shelter. Shane is still so dehydrated that he’s soon spent. Seriously dude, lie in the shade for a day. Man the fire. Boil some water. There is no shame in taking a sick day.

That night, while the mega group site around their fire, a snake literally pops out of the ground under Chris’ butt! Chris isn’t nearly as freaked out as I would be; but he sees a meal, whereas I’d only see a fanny-snake. In a matter of minutes, the snake is shish-kabobed and everyone (but Danielle) enjoys a bedtime snack.

Day 27
The group of 7 starts making their massive shelter. Over in the men’s camp, they’re busy chopping down trees while the larger group uses the resources on the forest floor. “Different strokes for different folks,” figures Luke. Over in Man-land, Shane is still hurting. Water is the main problem for all of the survivalists, or rather, a lack of water. There simply enough water. Every mouthful requires collection, boiling and cooling. it’s a long process that never nets enough to leave anyone feeling quenched. Shane is so desperate for water that he has dug a well and volunteers to drink fro it first. It’s selfless and Shane probably figures as the team’s weakest member, he’s one foot out the door anyway.

Day 28 night
Shane is actually feeling pretty well and Jeff expresses gratitude at his friend’s arrival in camp.

Day 29
Jeff prays over the fire and miraculously, Shane is still feeling well after drinking the water for a few days. I hope he’s turned a corner! Jeff takes a tentative taste and think it’s delicious. EJ follows suit.

The large group tries to catch fish in Dani’s mosquito net while Jeff watches. He simply drops his fishing line into the water and pulls out a fish. He makes it look easy, but he’s also had times when his hook has come up empty. Very clever editing, TV makers!

Eva sees a snake in a tree and the group tries to coax out the slithering beast. “Now they’re shaking bushes, like a couple of monkeys,” laughs EJ with a grin.

I’m sure if the producers could add tuba music to this scene, they would, but instead they highlight the idiocy of the moment with string music.

Jeff has kept fishing and catches and eel to go along with his fish. I think he may have yanked the beast out of the water with just his fishing line. Jeff shares his eel with the other group. Danielle is town because she doesn’t want to have to ean an animal to survive.

XLR
The XRL continues to be a useless and arbitrary measurement which is supposed to measure the teams’ “Progress, Skill and Teamwork.” That’s like measuring the survivalists “Fun, Stink, and Pain.” I could throw a dart at a board and come up with equally random numbers. Or roll a 20-sided dice. Anyway, here are some random numbers.

The Alpha Males, EJ, Jeff and Shane have enjoyed a massive amount of protein and have potable freshwater, but Shane isn’t feeling well so their score has dipped from 8.5 to 8.4 out of 10.0

Danielle and Alana — who previously measured a 6.0 out of 10 have merged with “Team Nuts and Butts'” 7.5 to become a super team with a super-bogus score of 7.2 out of 10.0.

That night, nine of the 10 survivalists feast on meat. Danielle sits and watches.

Day 30
Danielle is hungry and sets out along the lagoon looking for new food. Alana and Danielle see Shane passed out along the water’s edge. And they walk away, unconcerned.

EJ comes to bring Shane some food and sees that he’s just not getting better. Shane drags himself to his partners and tells them that it’s time for him to tap out. He is grateful for for amazing experience that he’s had with Jeff and EJ, but doesn’t want to risk his health or their success. “Brothers for Life,” promises EJ. And with that, Shane is gone.

Naked And Afraid XL, Episode 6
Shane struggles with the knowledge that his time on Naked and Afraid XL is over.

EJ and Jeff let the rest of the group know that Shane has left. Before he leaves, Shane says, “I am tapping out because I am an alpha male, I am the alpha male.”

Shane is a strange bird, but I’m sad to be him leave. I wouldn’t want him as my survival partner because I don’t think I could trust him to not kill me, but he’s a heck of a hard worker, to his own detriment. I am glad that he found a few good friends, and hope that the issues that he had with his teammates was more the result of clever editing and TV “Manufactured storytelling,” and he, Alana and Danielle were able to leave this experience as friends. I’m not sure if would have had the courage to tap out.

Eva and Laura Show How to Make Fire
A few weeks ago, Alana said, “Survival is lazy.” I agree that in a true survival situation, you should conserve. But Naked and Afraid, (particularly Naked and Afraid XL) isn’t about waiting passively for rescue, this is about conquering an environment and I’d like to offer an alternative statement, “Survival is patience.” In order to be successful, you have to wait for opportunities, and be smart about how, when and where you expend energy.

Below, Eva and Laura show that making a fire with a bow drill requires so much more patience than I would have ever thought necessary. It makes me want to try this method! And if you want to apply to be on Naked and Afraid, this is a must-watch, must-imitate, must-master video.

  1. Its official in addition to being an @$$hole, Chris is a hypocrite. Going on about how if Jeff and EJ are really the alpha males they think they are, they should help the others instead of ditching the weaklings who are holding them back. The entire challenge, he was advocating the exact opposite using it to justify his tearing into Honora, and later Dani. I also thought Eva came off the same way when she went on about how she felt betrayed, although she redeemed herself a little when she chose to share the Caimon.

  2. Beginning to see a little “Lord of the Flies”, emerge in the group of 6.
Good luck to EJ and Jeff!

  3. So disappointed wth the character of most of the naked and afraid participants this season. While the trials and tribulations of “the game” had to take a toll on their personality, many stayed true to themselves, and I speak of Shane, AJ, Jeff and Dani.

    • My wife and I used to think that EJ and Laura were the best qualified survivalists. No more. Never liked Jeff the screaming Mormon, used to not care for Shane, Honora but that changed too, hate seeing anyone bullied. Everyone of the Tattooed Tyrants have fallen below the line of respect. Laura has become another of the mean minions of Planet Alana, pathetic. Luke, please man, stop calling yourself any kind of therapist and until you learn how to hunt and fish you can stop calling yourself a survivalist. Chris, what can I say, what a sad excuse for a former Marine, just too low, pathetic, you should have been a Squid, can’t even fish successfully, wow. Dani B., the vegetarian of the group doesn’t mean you have to be totally useless and you only skate by because you appear to be Alana’s chosen one. Not much faith in the remaining groups, neither the last two “Macho Men” nor the Minnow and Insect gathering group hold much respect. Sad, very sad.

  4. Dani should have been taken to hospital after tapping out to get the knives removed from her back. The remaining 6 seem to have a sense of entitlement when it comes to Jeff’s eel catches. Chris and Luke lay around all day while Jeff and EJ hunt for food. I wonder if Chris and Luke will get their menstrual cycles in sync with the women’s, they have definitely piled on to bring Dani to her breaking point.

  5. Alana and Chris are two of a kind. It would be nice to see the 2 of them on a challenge together.

      • I would be satisfied to see that party of moochers not advance in this challenge. The reality of reality shows is that the producers won’t allow them to be eaten by piranhas or anything else in the forest without making an attempt at pulling them out.

  6. Poor decision making on day 1 cost their 1st tap out, (Hakeem) because they didn’t secure a sustainable source of water before building a semi permanent shelter, I mean that’s a no brainer ! Also I think both the tortoise situations were staged and I think it was the same tortoise. Shane has personality flaws that’s a given but Alana is even more unlikeable and she will be the witch for this season with Laura and Eva close 2nds. I think Alana made Shane look good, and he came around to be more likeable by the time he tapped out. Honora should have never even been chosen but obviously she was needed for the drama between her and survival ”expert” Chris who is a very obnoxious sob. Now for the last tap out Dany who was drummed out by a selfish group of a holes who didn’t mind using her survival gear, machete, mosquito netting, but were so quick to jump her ass when ” team dynamics ” kicked in to show humanity in its true condition (back biting lay abouts)
who love a handout but not eager to share. Sometimes hunting requires a team effort but at other times a quiet solo approach (jeff aka the hunter) proved with hunting eels. So who could can blame Dany for wanting to get away from ” the shrews” and hunt on her own. Lastly who ever got the job of animal identification needs help. The capybara is really an agouti and the ”big cat” looked just like a jaguarondi (top weight about 20 lbs.)

    • Thank you for the correction on both the Agouti and the Jaguarondi, excellent observations. Honora, I believe could have been a decent team mate but for the vicious attack by Chris who’s Marine Corps training should have made him help her rather than intentionally inflicting emotional distress. As a former Marine myself this is what we are taught, to help our team mates not to destroy them. He’s a small man with no hunting skills and no team ethic.

      • It wouldn’t be the 1st time a ”survival expert” stretched the truth 0r outright lied about his military participation (dual survival). Guys that train and fight together are as close ( or even closer than brothers) and yea he had in his 21 day episode little to zero team work or skills. I liked the way ”green beret” worked with his partner and even the ”force recon marine” with the sunburn came around eventually.

        • Notice how this ‘Green Beret, never even spoke up, to defend,..OR protect Dani, from tapping out,..& for reasons I agree with (meaning , she ‘wasn’t accepting’ by the newly formed ‘Click’,..of Morons!!!

          • I think you maybe referring to Sergeant Major E.J. I think he’s regular army. Yea He tells her ” I got your back” which meant next to nothing. I was referring to a 21 day episode which aired in july which paired an Army ranger with a nurse out in Guyana. As far as I’m concerned with the ”gang of 8” I hope they all fail and won’t be watching.

          • If you go to “Sarge’s” website you’ll find that he has a copy of the knife he used on N&A for sale for just north of $200…like you would need a combat fighting knife for survival. Some of these Ex-military types think they can “fight” mother nature….that’s like attacking raindrops and screaming at them.

    • 100% guarantee= Alana WILL finish the challenge,…due to her & Danielle riding the ‘coattails’, of the rest of these other, MORON,..”CLICK”,..people!

They may know ‘HOW to Survive’,..BUT,…only being horrible human beings,..to everyone else,.that they don’t feel are up to ‘THEIR’ standards’!!

    • Agree!

The basic decisions made by anyone of the teams,..should be well thought out, …before they start ANY challenge.

I COULD do better than them,…no argument!

  7. The larger team is surviveing if the backs of just 2 people, why did Jeff share? that sting ray was big enough that everyone could have had a nice piece yet the first ones to say lets not share were the ladies. They sure did not mind eating what food Jeff and EJ have had. They did not mind using Dani net to get some small fish, but were quick to run her off. Shane could have made it if he would have just rested, if I were Dani I would have never let them have the satisfaction she should have stayed. From what I see all of the woman but 1 r living off the backs of Jef and EJ and so r the other two men. What is Jeff thinking in a real world survivel u could not share your food, and more so with people who won’t share with u. If it were not for Jeff and EJ most of them would have tapped out by now, at the end of the day Jeff and EJ r the only two real survivers the rest r just extra weight for them. The last ell they got would have lasted them a long time if it was smoked. Oh one more thing that red head lady I cant remember her name she is a bit#&.

  8. I was disappointed when Jeff, turned Dannie away, he claims to be a compassionate person because he shares his food, however he did not consult his team mate before sharing the catch and he did not consult his team mate before turning Dannie away. I am disappointed in his team spirit.

The larger group appears to deserve to starve, they are not shown gathering or hunting very often. They mostly just lay around the fire. Most of these people appear to be leaches, the ones who are actually trying to gather food and survive seem to be getting run off or bad mouthed by the lazy people. The large group reminds me of a group of vulchers waiting on scraps from other peoples kills.

    • Right on the money. I do not understand Sarge sitting like a bump on the log while Jeff rejects Dani’s plea. Jeff’s reasoning that three people would create drama is entirely specious.
Sarge and Jeff showed no compassion for Dani at all. They took in Shane but their compassion apparently does not extend to women (Dani) who are introverts and need some alone time. Jeff purports to be a Christian but his compassion and mercy are seriously lacking (my opinion).

      • I think if EJ had gone against Jeff’s espoused beliefs in the presence of Dani, it would only support that a third would create drama. Could have, would have, should have. Dani could have been more direct about wanting to become part of their group and EJ could have voiced his opinion but it appears he shared Jeff’s opinion. You might recall EJ only invited Shane to join the group when he witnessed for himself what Shane was complaining about over Jeff’s objections about drama. Here EJ didn’t have the benefit of that personal knowledge. Shane was direct with what he wanted, Dani was less so.

I’m not excusing Jeff or EJ, I don’t see any reason why they wouldn’t have let her be a part of their group but all along they’ve wanted to remain independent. Being a loner I don’t see why Dani wouldn’t just create a shelter closer to the Alpha males but remain independent of both groups. She could have continued doing what she was doing. She was alone for the first few days of this challenge, so I don’t see why she would need the company of the others except to know there were others out there. My grandmother used to say some people drown in a glass of water. I think maybe that’s what happened here. I think Dani could have made it to the end. But then I don’t know how bad her emotional pain was.

Jeff wants to be compassionate because he believes that God is merciful to him and he should be merciful to others but we see that he struggles with that – that’s why he talks so much about whether he will share his kills before finally doing it. Jeff is an example of progress not perfection.

        • Several thoughtful comments. Dani might have been stronger in representing herself to Sarge and Jeff but she wasn’t. My speculation would be that she had enough, did not need to prove anything and just wanted to “Get out of Dodge City.”

          • I got that feeling also. I think her biggest challenge was being surrounded with so many people and maneuvering among them. Physically she appeared to be OK.

        • Elizabeth, see my reply to KenO; below, for the reason behind Dani J.’s emotional vulnerability.

        • Jeff is only human and his first response is only natural. However, he quickly went against his “flesh and selfish desires, which we all naturally have” and was obedient to God by loving others especially during the difficult times. He loves Jesus. Scripture says, “Love God first, and love others as you already love yourself.” Dani is also a leech. You can see a pattern in that when things got difficult with her initial group, she ran to another group where food was more prosperous. When things got tough AGAIN, she ran to another group who is prosperous. Jeff and EJ did nothing absolutely nothing wrong. They made it clear in the beginning that they did not want a third person due to drama, and they knew she left the next group due to drama. They don’t know her so why invite her in. I’m glad they didn’t.

          • Well they let Shane in. Drama? Dani J would not have been any more drama than Shane. I’m sure they are sorry now that they did not help her. I think they should tell the other group of lazies what they think of them.

    • FYI. I do not know Dani J. personally nor do I know any of the other participants. I do not do Facebook or any other Social Media. All my posts are based on what I observe on the show, previews etc.

  9. I was shocked at how they expected Jeff to share the eel. When they caught the stingray they had they went on about how Jeff and EJ had chosen to have two separate teams so they weren’t entitled to a share of the kills, yet they were more than happy to accept the other two ells, and continued to expected Jeff to share every single kill with them.

As far Dani’s treatment goes, I don’t think Chris is getting the criticism he deserves. Alana is a b!tch, but Chris is a major league @$$hole. I’m going to take an unpopular position and defend Honora. While she crossed the line by trying to sabotage the team, Chris had a very condescending attitude towards her from the beginning, and she had every right to be pissed off at him. In fact, I can see alot of comparisons between Chris’ feud with Honora, and Alana’s feud with Shane. The only difference is that Shane handled things alot better.

    • Quite right Jack. I have to admit, I was pretty upset with Honora but in the light of just how the pack of wolves treat those with the slightest perceived personality “defect” (Shane’s painful childhood, Dani J’s horrible experience with her best friend and roommate being murdered and Honora’s need for exhibitionism) it’s becoming plainer that Chris and Luke just hammered poor, defenseless Honora until she cracked. No very admirable of them especially when Luke is supposed to be a “wilderness” field instructor. These two belong with the vicious twins and their cronies. I’m thinking Karma is not going to be their friend.

      • KenO. Few people know of Dani J. suffering a home invasion and her best friend being murdered. Few were paying attention when she stated it. Dani was already emotionally vulnerable when she started XL and the “gang of six” mean streaks finished her off emotionally.
Honora was unstable and should not have been on the show. She did not even meet the stated criteria of completing the 21 day challenge. The Producers are either extremely stupid or callous. They have a lot to answer for when the reckoning comes.
Shane has suffered many things (extremely crappy youth) but that meant nothing to the viper twins. I hope Shane loses being a victim.
Hakkim was musclebound and the smallest dehydration was dangerous to his systems chemical balance. I wonder why Sarge and Jeff watched him suffer instead of finding water immediately?
I too believe in “You reap what you sow.” All such wisdom is cause and effect no matter what it is called.

        • As far as Honora’s presence, probably half the people who go on the show don’t make the full 21 days, and a number of those that do made statements about how they feel they’ve proven what they need to, or they wouldn’t do it again. They probably couldn’t get an even twelve so they decided to fill the last slot with someone who didn’t make the full 21 days but showed potential and wanted to try again. My impression of Honora’s episode was that she showed alot of potential, had a pretty high initial PSR, but failed because while her skillset was probably well suited for a North American woodland environment, but she was too stubborn to adapt when they dropped her in the desert. I brought her up because you and a few others seemed surprised at Chris’ behavior towards Dani. I think its very well in character for him, he pretty much behaved like a male version of Alana towards Honora while the supposed therapist sat there passively and watched things progress towards an explosion, and while it doesn’t justify Honora’s reaction, I think you were overlooking Chris’ faults because you didn’t like Honora.

          • Jack you are mistaken, I do not dislike Honora she is a sick person with erratic behavior. She needs professional help.
Chris is such a disappointment ( I liked him at first and was fooled) I try not to think of him at all. Luke is just a wimp who “goes along to get along.”

        • I understood her to say her therapist recommended survival training as being good for her and helpful. Who cares if she liked to be alone. I would not want to be around those pond scum either. I really think she was scouting for food. But she wasn’t being “one of the group”. Big whoop. Who wants to be part of a lazy good for nothing group.

  10. can anyone tell me what was going on with Dani? From the beginning, she knew she a loner and knew there was trouble fitting in. So what was she expecting from the others? The show didn’t really show her doing anything to help the team and deserve any kind of compassion. Yes they were a bit harsh with her, but she said she was going to try harder and we didn’t see it. I didn’t understand her point of view. Was she there to survive? or make friends?

    • Her teammates’ (the word chokes in my throat) complaint was she didn’t tend the fire. So she started to do that. I don’t know why she didn’t join them on hunts or explain to them that she was foraging for food and had been unsuccessful. I’m sure she didn’t expect to go from a 2 or 3 person group to a 5 and then 7 person group. I don’t know Laura and Eva, who had problems with Dani’s wandering early on didn’t confront her then and instead waited and attacked her like a pack of ravenous animals. And what’s with the “i don’t trust you” comments – what don’t they trust her to do or not do and who cares?

      • By the way, compassion isn’t something that is earned. It’s a virtue – you either have it or you don’t.

      • A preview clip showed Dani J. in the water with two others and spearing a stingray and holding it up. There was more foraging than made the edit. I suppose the editors thought it is more exciting to watch Chris and Luke harvesting bugs. The remaining 6 have no integrity. When Dani confronted them they didn’t even look at her. So she spent the last night shunned and alone. The 6 of them cannot be trusted and were projecting it onto Dani.

        • The best evidence they can’t be trusted is when they didn’t offer a bit of the stingray to EJ and justified it among themselves with the comment that the Alpha males wanted to have to separate camps. I don’t remember seeing Dani eating the stingray but assume that she was and wonder if maybe that had something to do with why EJ stood silent when she came to their camp.

  11. I agree with everyone’s comments. Alana is a rude selfish arrogant bully with a tart tongue. I don’t recall seeing her catch one thing to eat except the stingray attempt which she failed at. Danielle did so well with her first partner but sadly she isn’t strong enough to buck Alana’s negativity. Shane had flaws and tried hard to be a team member but his 2 female partners made it impossible to cohabitate. I am sorry to see Dani leave. Her team lacks the brains to recognize she is a loner and doesn’t need a human crutch 24/7. Jeff and EJ rock, no one can do better than they at surviving 40 days. The remaining 2 dudes, although self sufficient the first 3 weeks, adopted the “community welfare mentality” and negativity when their group expanded to 5 and then 7, and they proved they are definitely not alpha males. I was shocked they didn’t offer a bite of their unremarkable stingray but all had shocked expressions wondering if Jeff was going to share the 3rd eel HE caught with the big group of shirkers. Looking forward to the finale but I hope the camera person will minimize how much time they highlight Alana. It’s clear she is the least popular to us the audience, and those of us in the real world wouldn’t throw her a bread crumb.

    • Roger that! After watching episode 7, the remaining 6 of the group of 7 fully deserve each other. I am most disappointed with Chris and Luke, but one of them will become the next victim.

      • It’s hard to say who in that group is the next to tap out. They are leechers and there’s no honor among them. Even as they accept/demand that the Alpha team share their food they smirk and make faces at the verbal celebration among the Alpha team. Why shouldn’t they scream at the top of their lungs: they are not only surviving, they are thriving. As long as the Alpha team continues to feed them they will stick around.

On another note, I was really angry that Jeff apologized to Chris. Jeff wasn’t being a dick – it was his catch to do with as he pleased.

        • Shane blossomed with a little positive support while Alana just shoots everyone and everything down. Part of surviving is working as a team even when it is difficult. Some of the people have not only survived but have thrived. Why was the selfish large group surprised and looking like drooling dogs over Jeff’s eel when they had not shared food or chores with the all male group. Chris looked very bitchey, not accepting an apology until it came with food. Really People? And where was Luke the therapist as group dynamics fell like dominoes?
Try a little kindness and charity to each other – you might come out better than you went in.

          • Also Alana et al. should never have left someone lying on the ground half in and out of the lake – hypothermia, attack by animals, death. Compassion people.

          • Correction (& this blog should allow for ‘correction’,..t does NOT):

The larger group did NOT share with Jeff & his partner, just before the eel catch by Jeff!

So,..Jeff should NOT have shared (esp without asking his partner 1st!!!!)

          • Alana was a b#### on her first go-around and even worse, if possible this time. I expected nothing more from her, but was very disappointed with Danielle. She couldn’t stand up to Alana and bullied Shane mercilessly. Their giggling and laughing at Shane’s expense was pathetic and childish. Danielle was the one who said she RESPECTED ALL LIFE and even went on about how SNAILS have feelings, yet she had NO COMPASSION for Shane at all. She went along with the bully…so hooray, she didn’t give up her VALUES by eating meat, but she sure gave them up with it came to respecting HUMAN life. She was an EMT and passed right by Shane, without knowing or caring if he was dying or dead. But, they let the turtle go free and she never killed an animal. What a piece of work. She was worse than Alana, because Alana was a b**** to begin with and never claimed to be any better. Amazing lack of character both of them.

        • Totally AGREE!
But, ALSO,..Jeff should have consulted with HIS own partner, before sharing the eeL,..given the other large team did share with him!

          Jeff SUCKS!!

          • Craig the large team did not share with Jeff and E.J.(Is that what you meant to say?)

      • I was sorry to see Dani J. leave as well. Another victim of Alana’s backbiting as well as her new crew of shrews. I used to think more highly of Laura but she appears to be easily led by Alana. Alana’s previous minion, Dani B., who for the life of me I can’t figure out what she’s done at all. She doesn’t hunt, she hasn’t done much if anything on the all so important evening firewatch. It’s like she’ immune from the out right hostile criticism that Dani J has been receiving from Nasty and her cronies. I hate that Jeff gave in and shared his catch once again to the selfish sisters and their incompetent male escorts who don’t seem to be able to catch anything but lizards and minnows.

      • Previously, I had great respect for Luke and Laura. Now, they are just as mean and pathetic as the rest of the Gang of Six. Unfortunately, this does reflect real life. Weak minded people tend to gang up on anyone that does not “fit in.” They should have been left to starve. What a bunch of losers, who no doubt will tell the camera how proud they are of themselves for surviving 40 days. Naked and disgusting!

      • Personally seeing they are swimming across Piranha Lake in the up coming episodes I’m Crossing my fingers Camen or Piranha for 5 of 6 of them… Laura can make it out 🙂 Maybe an eels hitting them 1/2 way across. Karma would be nice to see. Darn EJ and Jeff for trying to circumvent Karma.

  12. I hate how the larger group of people have not been sharing any of their food with the two guys. Then they expect the two guys to share their food with them. WTF there is 6 of them they are delusional! Do they seriously have to all team up on Dani and talk behind her back. They showed their true colours today. I fucking hate the group of six stupid scumbag pieces of shit! Some people need their alone time it’s how they keep their saintly. they are adults they should not be acting like a bunch of teenage assholes. I am
Extremely disgusted with the actions of the group of six!

    • Everything was going well until the viper twins appeared, then the negatives in the character of Chris, Luke, Laura and Eva came out. Dani J. was a different (but competent) person so the wolf pack mentality of the others came forth. After all, Dani J. had not covered herself with tattoos like the others.

    • Even more interesting most of the group of 6 keep making comments about nobody should be riding on anyone else’s abilities, yet none of them seem to have an ability to find their own food or feed the group except the 2 they are happy to announce they aren’t part of our team we don’t have to give them any help, Give us Food you selfish guys.

  13. I wish Dany could have just switched to the guys group instead of letting those scum of the earth bitches bring her down to a point of tapping out!

    • I thought she would hold out especially since she doesn’t need them to survive since Jeff is the only one catching any substantial food. I think they would have continued to share with her. Frankly her emotional fragility wore thin with me. I don’t know why she would care what those assholes thought of her. I would have wiped my ass with their comments. EJ and Jeff are right to keep the drama away from them. I wish Jeff had not shared his eel. I certainly would not have after they didn’t offer EJ a bite of their stingray. I didn’t eat back into the water.

  14. So sick of Alana. She sows seeds of discord wherever she goes. Alana bullied Dany to tap out and got the others riled up against her. Alana did the same thing with Shane. Wonder who her next victim will be. She’s a crazy drama queen. Was hoping the sting ray got her tonight. Wish she would tap out. Even in her 2 person challenge she was awful and sat around lazy until the other guy worked himself to death and made it to day 21 off his efforts. Alana is just toxic. She’s a bottom feeder and just plain mean. Such a shame. Alana ruins the show for me. All the others are pretty cool and would be so much better off without her.

  15. Tonight’s episode proved what a bunch of assholes are in the large group!! I lost all respect for the few I still liked!! The last five people are people I would love to hit over the head with a bat!! You five are pieces of dog shit!!! I wish I could throw shit at them through the tv!!!

    • I agree with you. I think the remaining five are not only assholes they are all worthless. They are bullies and selfish to boot. There wasn’t enough stingray but you’d think they would have offered a bite to EJ – after all EJ and Jeff have shared their protein with them multiple times. What low and sorry excuse for human beings they are. I have lost all respect for them.

    • Alana is like a disease that infiltrate’s any who has become weak in the head, because I really hope that they all in that group are not so easily Lemmings behind such a Bitch!she is lazy as hell except her big fat mouth she uses to bully anyone who doesn’t have a Black Heart as she does…

  16. I am truly sorry to see Shane tap out. Admittedly he should not have burned himself out at the start, however if his other two teammates would have helped out in some way instead of being such human parasites maybe he would have made it. Shane, by himself, made the entire shelter that the women lounged in the entire time . He is a way better person than I could have been under the same circumstances. I would have kicked their lazy worthless butts out and told them to make their own shelter. That being said, in my opinion Alana and Danielle are complete coat tail riders and the worst team members you could have. I honestly hope Danielle starves and Alana gets eaten by piranhas. They are human scum.

  17. Has anyone else noticed that when the noxious gadfly Matt M. disappeared from these posts; the equally noxious gadfly Ema Nymton (not my name backwards) appeared??????

  18. I liked Shane,…
BUT, I never liked when he claimed that the environment had NOT beat him,..& all the times he did something ‘gungho’,…& claimed to “have balls/be “badass”.

    BS!

The environment DID beat him (plus, his own stupidity for helping those 2 Bimbos,.
Plus,…also using up his energy too fast, at the beginning,..& not INSISTING on (or, at keast seeing where theygot rid of (eating) the turtle.
