2015 MLB Home Run Derby on ESPN Monday

The biggest sluggers in Major League Baseball blast away in the annual All-Star break Home Run Derby exhibition on Monday, July 13, beginning at 8pm ET on ESPN and WatchESPN. This year’s All-Star festivities take place at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati. Last year, Oakland A’s outfielder Yoenis Cespedes won the derby for the second year in a row.

The Home Run Derby this year will have a different format that will hopefully speed things up and increase competition with a single elimination bracket and players seeded by the number of home runs they’ve hit so far in the regular season.

2015 MLB Home Run Derby First Round Matchups
No. 1 Albert Pujols (Angels) vs. No. 8 Kris Bryant (Cubs)
No. 2 Todd Frazier (Reds) vs. No. 7 Prince Fielder (Rangers)
No. 3 Josh Donaldson (Blue Jays) vs. No. 6 Anthony Rizzo (Cubs)
No. 4 Joc Pederson (Dodgers) vs. No. 5 Manny Machado (Orioles)

ESPN’s Chris “Back! Back! Back!” Berman returns to call the majority of the play-by-play, joined by John Kruk and Aaron Boone. Pedro Gomez and Nicole Briscoe report.
