Taraji P. Henson is nominated for a TCA Award in Individual Achievement in Drama for “Empire.” The show itself is nominated for Outstanding New Program, Outstanding Achievement in Drama and Program of the Year.

The Television Critics Association (TCA), a media organization in which most of us here at Channel Guide are a part, today announced the nominees for the group’s 2015 TCA Awards.

The 2015 TCA Awards recognize outstanding television programming in the 2014-2015 season, honoring actors, producers and programs in a variety of categories, including news and information, youth, reality, drama and comedy. Past winners can be seen here. The winners of the 31st Annual TCA Awards will be announced at the invitation-only presentation on Saturday, August 8, 2015, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
