What’s New on Netflix June 2015

The biggies that are streaming new on Netflix June 2015 are the new sci-fi drama Sense8, and the return of the hit comedy Orange Is the New Black. Here’s when to look for them, as well as other streaming premieres, along with some titles that are departing from the streaming service this month. Descriptive info from Netflix.



Sense8 (Available June 5, pictured above) — Sense8 is centered around eight characters that live in different cities around the world who experience a violent vision, and soon find themselves mentally connected by this experience. They are suddenly able to see and talk to each other as though they were in the same place, and have access to each other’s deepest secrets. Not only must these eight adapt to this new ability and to each other, they must figure out what happened and why and what it means for the future of humanity, while being hunted by an organization out to capture, kill or vivisect them. The series is created and written by The Wachowskis (The Matrix) and J. Michael Straczynski (Babylon 5).

Orange Is the New Black Season 3 (Available June 12) — The women of Litchfield unapologetically return for the third coming. With a crisis of faith and their beliefs and loyalties being tested, each character must decide what and who to believe in.

DreamWorks Dragons: Race to the Edge (Available June 26) — Hiccup and Toothless are back in an all-new action packed series DreamWorks Dragons: Race to the Edge. Their quest: to explore strange new worlds, seek out never-before-seen dragons and end the war between Vikings and dragons once and for all.

What Happened, Miss Simone? (Available June 26) — Using never-before-heard recordings, rare archival footage and her best-known songs, this is the story of legendary singer and activist Nina Simone.



Some Assembly Required (Available June 19) — When a teenager becomes the new owner of a toy company, he hires a bunch of his high school friends to help him design new toys.



Advantageous (Available June 23) — In a near-future city where soaring opulence overshadows economic hardship, Gwen and her daughter Jules do all they can to hold on to their joy together, despite the instability surfacing in their world.
