The countdown is on. There are just over two weeks until David Letterman will host his final broadcast of Late Show, with his farewell episode airing Wednesday, May 20. In the weeks leading up to Dave’s departure, a number of notable personalities will be making their final guest appearances in the seat next to Letterman’s desk. Here are the guests for this upcoming week.
DAVID LETTERMAN FINAL GUESTS: WEEK OF MAY 4
MONDAY, MAY 4: President Barack Obama makes his eighth and final visit with Dave tonight. The president last appeared on Late Show Sept. 18, 2012, and before that on Sept. 21, 2009. As an Illinois senator, Obama appeared on Late Show five times, beginning in 2004 and continuing through his 2008 presidential campaign.
Also making their final appearances with Letterman on May 4 are actor Will Ferrell, and musical guests the Avett Brothers and Brandi Carlile.
TUESDAY, MAY 5: Actress Reese Witherspoon; actor Nathan Lane; musical guests Mumford and Sons
WEDNESDAY, MAY 6: Actor Martin Short; musical guest Norah Jones
THURSDAY, MAY 7: Actress Tina Fey
FRIDAY, MAY 8: Actor Ray Romano; standup comedian Brian Regan; musical guests Dave Matthews Band
