“Faith, Trust, and a Little Bit of Pixie Dust” on Dancing With The Stars “Disney Night”

Oh, it’s the most magical night of the season, the night where Genies dance with Gents, Beauties waltz with Beasts and the air has the faint glimmer of Pixie Dust. Yes, it’s time for Dancing With The Stars “Disney Night” — an evening filled with corporate synergy galore.

Another charmingly pastel opening number opened the show with yards and yards of tulle and tons of animated guests. Even Mickey and pals made an appearance, before scampering backstage to nibble on craft services while the competition gets under way.

Dancing With The Stars "Disney Night"

Robert and Kim were quickly announced to be safe, but Suzanne and Tony were informed they were in jeopardy and dancing first.

Suzanne Somers & Tony Dovolani 1-855-234-5611
Dancing Jazz to “He’s A Tramp” from Lady and the Tramp
Suzanne and Tony are feeling little frustrated after last week’s praise didn’t result in high scores. Suzanne is even questioning if she belongs in the show. Sweet Tony talks confidence back into his star. What a wonderful teacher. When I interviewed him, he mentioned that right around week 4, starts start feeling physically exhausted and he has to act like a therapist as well as coach. It seems like Suzanne kept it together until week 5, so she’s stronger than she thinks. After starting off strong with great lifts and a sexy attitude, Suzanne caught her heel in the hem of her dress and bobbled for a few seconds. But she recovered and finished strong.
Len: That was a song by Peggy Lee who’s always easy on the ears and you’re easy on the eyes.
Julianne: I told you I wanted a little more raunchy, so Well, well, well …
Bruno: The lady was a vamp! Accidents happen.
Carrie Ann: You should be very proud, you brought your “A” game. I, myself, nearly fell down the stairs in the show open.
Judges Scores: Carrie Ann: 7, Len: 7, Julianne: 7, Bruno: 7, total 28 out of 40

Dancing With The Stars "Disney Night"Robert Herjavec & Kym Johnson 1-855-234-5609
Dancing a quickstep to “Step In Time” from Mary Poppins
Mr. Blue Eyes has had four weeks of grace and majesty and this week he’s drawn the Quickstep. Good luck with that Robert. And Sexy Mary Popping, Kym flies in on wires, which was pretty fun as our sweep Robert danced below with fellow chimney sweeps. Robert got a little off of time in the beginning, but recovered well when he and Kym got past the Disney ridiculousness and actually got to the quickstepping.
Julianne: Your steps were not-so in time.
Bruno: Time is a relative concept. In your own world, you were in time and nobody else was.
Carrie Ann: Chim Chiminy, Chim Chiminy, Chim, Chim Cha Booooooo.
Len: you were out there really Popping, you got a little carried away with your timing.
Judges Scores: Carrie Ann: 6, Len: 6, Julianne: 6, Bruno: 6, total 24 out of 40

After a beak, Chris and Witney are in jeopardy, Willow and Mark and safe and Patty and Artem are in jeopardy and are dancing next.

Patti LaBelle & Artem Chigvintsev 1-855-234-5606
Dancing a Waltz to “When You Wish Upon A Star” from Pinocchio Last week Patti was a Jazzy Mama dancing to a song that reminds her of her precious son, and this week she is channeling one of the sweetest and most tear-inducing shows in the Disney songbook. Unfortunately, Patti’s knee injury is bothering her again and she didn’t even think she’s be able to dance this week. She’s a vision in yellow and the song is just so precious. And even Pinocchio applauded her efforts.
Bruno: You managed to sprinkle your own little stardust around the room.
Carrie Ann: Patti watching you dance, is like watching the Fairy Godmother of DWTS.
Len: You’re great, and I love watching you.
Julianne: it is magical when you dance.
Judges Scores: Carrie Ann: 7, Len: 6, Julianne: 7, Bruno: 7, total 27 out of 40

Willow Shields & Mark Ballas 1-855-234-5612
Dancing the foxtrot “Alice’s Theme” from Alice In Wonderland
Last week, Willow embodied Mark’s genius choreography in a contemporary dance that was Panem perfection and earned a mine blowing 39 out of 40. This week, Willow and Mark and becoming Disney dorks over snack time. Stick to dancing folks, because their dark and creepy foxtrot was really intense. And as usual,
Carrie Ann: That was an epic production, however, there were times you lost your footing in hold. I wish I didn’t see the first half.
Len: You’ve gone from Hunger Games to fun and games.
Julianne: You took me down the rabbit hole for sure. Are we still at Coachella?
Bruno: that is a big scary rabbit. You’re becoming a force to reckon with, but take a few ballet classes
Judges Scores: Carrie Ann: 8, Len: 8, Julianne: 9, Bruno: 9, total 34 out of 40

Chris Soules & Witney Carson 1-855-234-5602
Dancing a quickstep “Zero to Hero” from Hercules
Hopefully Prince Farming can be like his namesake and be a little more charming in his steps this week. Last weeks’ Rumba received a lukewarm reception by Len who simply stated, “That wasn’t that great.” This week, he’s hoping to go from Zero to Hero when he channels Hercules, but first, he needs to get over being snappy at Witney. Witney brings in Alfonso Ribero to help raise Chris’ confidence, but in this morning’s rehearsal, he injured his leg. Remarkably, his dance was pretty good.
Len: It is a real tough dance and you did fine.
Julianne: You’re getting in the way of yourself. Work on your musicality.
Bruno: You were magnificent on Mount Olympus.
Carrie Ann: I thought this was your best performance by a long shot!!
Judges Scores: Carrie Ann: 7, Len: 6, Julianne: 7, Bruno: 7, total 27 out of 40

Now the last groups wait to heat their fates and all four groups, Noah and Sharna, Riker & Alison, Nastia & Derek and Rumer & Val are all safe.

Dancing With The Stars "Disney Night"Noah Galloway & Sharna Burgess 1-855-234-5605
Dancing the foxtrot to “A Whole New World” from Aladdin
This week, Noah is bummed out by his lack of knee, but Sharna tells him to get over it and work with what he’s got. After she tells him to “Suck it up, princess,” she reminds Noah, “We’re not going to focus on what we can’t do, but on what we can do.”
Julianne: Your frame was right on.
Bruno: Looking at you makes us all believe in magic. Your connection is flawless.
Carrie Ann: You’ve captured the hearts and imagination of everyone here.
Len: you had sway, you have great lines, you had musicality, you lacked some of the elements of a foxtrot, but you were great.
Judges Scores: Carrie Ann: 7, Len: 7, Julianne: 7, Bruno: 7, total 28 out of 40.

Riker Lynch & Allison Holker 1-855-234-5608
Dancing a paso doble to “He’s A Pirate” from Pirates of the Caribbean
I’ll admit I still have “Shut up And Dance” in my head from Riker’s awesome Tango last week despite the judge’s less-than-stellar scores. Riker looks spot on as Jack Sparrow, but in rehersal, the character is a little too effeminate for the masculinity that the dance requires. in the performance, Riker was a strong and dashing pirate. The music is already thrilling, and the routine that Allison created showed, once again, that she is the new face of this show.
Bruno: you’ve got a blockbuster on your hands, that was mad and wonderful!
Carrie Ann: Riker, what the heck was that?!? That was a beast of a paso and you slayed it! My favorite paso ever!
Len: This was fast and furious.
Julianne: That is what I call artistry!! Well done.
Judges Scores: Carrie Ann: 10, Len: 9, Julianne: 9, Bruno: 10, total 38 out of 40.

Dancing With The Stars "Disney Night"
Rumer and Val give ferosh face.

Rumer Willis & Valentin Chmerkovskiy 1-855-234-5610
Dancing a samba to “Poor Unfortunate Souls” from The Little Mermaid
Rumer defied convention by choosing a Disney villain and becoming Ursula the Sea Witch. And she looks sexy in purple! What a creative turn on the samba!
Carrie Ann: What is going on tonight? That was sickly creative! It was weird, it was odd and it turned me on.
Len: you are a great dancer!
Julianne: You just made Ursula the sexiest character ever.
Bruno: totally and deliciously wicked! It feels good to be bad.
Judges Scores: Carrie Ann: 10, Len: 9, Julianne: 10, Bruno: 10, total 39 out of 40

Nastia Liukin & Derek Hough 1-855-234-5604
Dancing Jazz to “Love Is An Open Door” from Frozen
Nastia is excited to be fun and light-hearted in contrast to her most serious persona. And who doesn’t love this adorable song!?!
Len: There was nothing frozen abut that. That was a warm hug on a cold night.
Julianne: that was so Disney!
Bruno: What you saw captured the Wonderful World of Disney
Carrie Ann: That was like a dream come true.
Judges Scores: Carrie Ann: 9, Len: 9, Julianne: 10, Bruno: 10, total 38 out of 40.
