Summer Schedule 2015: USA Network

On Tuesday, USA Network announced its summer slate of new and returning shows. I was happy to see the return of familiar faces like Royal Pains and look forward to meeting new friends like Mr. Robot, which recently slayed at SXSW, and Complications. I interviewed Jason O’Mara about Complications for the June issue of Channel Guide Magazine, and he was an utter dream and his thrilling show is a total adrenaline-rush. It certainly proves the line from Wicked, “No good deed goes unpunished.”

Playing House
Yay!!!!!!!

And, as you can imagine, I’m beyond the moon with excitement at the news that Playing House has a premiere date for Season 2. Whoo hoo!! I first fell in love with the show last spring when in interviewed Lennon Parham and Jessica St. Clair; I immediately felt an connection to them and their balls-out senses of humor. Like most of Playing House’s fans (aka Jammers), I quickly imagined myself as a third member of their best-friendship.

I long for the day that Lennon and Jessica’s witty characters realize that they won’t be able to raise Charlotte as a happy child unless their other good friend — a tall, former tuba player who looks kinda like Jo from the Facts of Life — stopped by. Or stood in the background (have I ever mentioned that I won a motorcycle on The Price is Right and I played a cop on The Shield?) No? I didn’t?!? Oh, you mean, “no,” as in “There’s no room for Kellie.” LOL, that’s okay, I still love Lennon’s Maggie and Jessica’s Emma and I’ve already put in an order for hedgehog cupcakes for August 4.

  1. I want to know when you are going to put CSI Las Vegas might be put back on! It used to be on Monday mornings and Friday mornings! Now it NCIS or Law and Order SVU!!!! please put it back on!!!

  2. Other than Suits there is nothing left to watch. Satisfaction, Rush, and Covert Affairs, cancelled all at the same time. If your IQ isn’t low enough to watch a reality show or sports on TV there really isn’t anything original to watch. You really messed this one up USA.

    • Satisfaction has been renewed as of last year and is currently filming. Also, my IQ is over 130 in the “very superior” range. Not too low I’d say… I really enjoy the show complications, so if your IQ is high enough to realize your comment was not only ill informed but also sterotypical, you might want to check it out if you have not already. If you haven’t, it is not a sports show or a reality show. Myself and I’m sure others do not appreciate the fact that you talk about how a person has a low IQ if they watch certain things when mine is well above average and my fiance’s IQ is in the “high genuis” range. Yet I watch some of them and my fiance loves sports shows. Let me guess, all black people are ignorant, all moms drive vans, all women lie and men are the superior race as well? My point is stop stereotyping. It’s just ignorant and makes you sound like an a**hole, which maybe you are and proud but you should also prob. Check your facts if you going to comment on a page and talk sh*t about a network, person, whatever because you’re ill informed. That’s beyond annoying, aggravating and makes you look like you’re the one with a low IQ, which I do not believe is the case. I won’t lie though, I’ve been wrong before. Hope you enjoy Satisfaction when it comes back on!! Also, if needed, there are brain excersices free online to help increase your knowledge and IQ.

  4. where is satisfaction, and when will it be on again? Hope you guys didn’t cancel the show!!

  5. Where is satisfaction, and when will it be on? I hope you guys didn’t cancel the show!!

  6. I am going to be very dissappointed if Satisfaction on USA doesn’t come back this summer.. That was an awesome show you reeled us in and now we want more, I hope the network executives haven’ t canceled this show tooooo… I’m waiting for more…

    • I totally agree with you! I was so into that show. Everyone would meet up at my house to watch it. You gotta wonder sometimes “what are these people thinking, who picks these lame shows over the good ones” right?.

  7. Mad that Covert Affairs was cancelled and now no Rush or Satisfaction!? Very disappointed!

  8. Well, see all of you over at TNT.Hey maybe the decision maker at USA is having a “covert” affair with TNT!

  9. Very disappointed Covert Affairs has been cancelled. Any chance another station will be picking it up? It was one of my favorites. The line up looks pretty weak in comparison to the last few summers.

    • Absolutely right USA used to be a great channel but no thanks to their disappointing summer schedule. How are they going to squeeze all of these quality shows in with all of their
ANCIENT LAW AND ORDER RERUNS? (Jerry Orbach seriously)?Apparently their creative staff has taken the summer off

      • FYI: USA does not air (original) Law & Order reruns with Jerry Orbach (whom I LOVE as Lennie Briscoe, by the way); however, the show’s “ancient” reruns (1990-2010) air on the following channels: Sundance, WEtv (a station that airs original shows with the absolute WORST depictions of Black women EVER (I don’t know ANY Black women who behave as those in the WEtv reality series… but, I digress), CLOO, and has run longest on TNT. As a longtime L&O fan, I wish they would simply create a L&O Channel so we wouldn’t have to bounce around so many stations looking for it… it’d be right there in one spot (this pertains to the original L&O only. L&O: SVU airs often on USA, but is not the Jerry Orbach version).

PS: I like Satisfaction too and glad it’s returning. That show is what brought me here! 😉

  10. Is Satisfaction really not coming back on? I got so addicted to that show! 🙁

    • I know, Chris!! I liked this show a lot. USA has a new series “Complications” that you will like. It premieres in June.

    • That premiere date for Complications is June 18. This fall, Tom Ellis will star in the titular role of Lucifer on FOX’s new comic-book based-drama. I adore Tom, he is a fantastic actor (loved him on Miranda)

    • I agree Covert Affairs will be missed.USA is making a huge mistake. As a matter of fact they’re only worth watching for the reruns of other network shows.Whoever’s making decisions for their summer lineup should be replaced. No class.

    • Helene- I asked the folks at USA and sadly, Rush isn’t coming back. Boo! But, their new show Complications is pretty awesome.

  11. Where is the time for Satisfaction? Can’t find any info on this show anywhere.

    • Hi, Donna, unfortunately, USA decided earlier this year to cancel Covert Affairs. It’s too bad Season 5 ended on such a cliffhanger to leave everyone hanging.

  12. Yay! Can’t wait for Royal Pains to start again! Love the cast, the beautiful on-site scenery, the storylines. 🙂

  13. Jammers everywhere are celebrating!!!! I only wish it would start sooner. We love you Lennon and Jessica!!! ….can you please bring Bosephus back too? PLEASE
