Barbara Walters interviews 2014’s “Most Fascinating People” tonight

Barbara Walters must already be getting antsy early on in her retirement. The famed newswoman will be returning to ABC this month for her annual favorite year-end special Barbara Walters Presents: The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2014.

“I was absolutely delighted when ABC approached me to do another year of 10 Most Fascinating People,” said Walters. “I know we said last year was our last, but there are just too many fascinating people out there.”

Since the first MFP special in 1993, the series of programs has consistently been one of the highest-rated specials of the year. With the star power already confirmed to be featured in this year’s two-hour installment, it looks like ratings should be up once again.

At presstime, confirmed on the 2014 list of Most Fascinating People are Oprah Winfrey, Neil Patrick Harris, Chelsea Handler, Scarlett Johansson, Taylor Swift, Michael Strahan and David Koch, with more to be announced.

Barbara Walters Presents: The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2014 premieres Dec. 14 at 9pm ET on ABC.

  1. Hello, V. The author you are wondering about is George R.R. Martin, most famous for writing the books that the HBO series “Game of Thrones” is based upon.

  2. I would like to know the name of the author with the two middle initials of R.R., that writes Science-fiction.
