UPDATE: The Premiere of Model Turned Superstar has been moved to Jan. 10, 2015
Television has found terrific success in reality competitions where individuals are plucked from obscurity and handed instant riches and fame, and now that familiar formula is moving online with a few fun and sexy twists. And models. Lots of the world’s most beautiful models.
The seven week series Model Turned Superstar, from executive producer and billionaire mogul Andy Khawaja, brings together nearly 100 gorgeous models from around the globe to compete for a $1 million prize.

Actress and top model April Scott serves as one of the the series’ hosts and celebrity judges (along with supermodels including Alessandra Ambrosio, Ana Beatriz Barros, and Irina Shayak and actress Kelly Hu) and offers insight into the modeling industry and encourages the young models who hope for fashion fame.
In each of the series’ first six episodes, released weekly on the show’s website, models from around the world are jetted to exotic locales to prove their modeling prowess. Each week, a new group of beautiful and talented women compete in daring feats, like zip lining through the jungles of Thailand or swimming with sharks in the tropic waters of Bora Bora in photo shoots that are extreme, and extremely beautiful. The women will also participate in a series of exciting go-sees, photo shoots and runway challenges.
Judges will determine 13 lucky ladies to move onto the finals and into a Beverly Hills mansion. There, in the series’ exciting conclusion, one winner will be chosen and she will be awarded one million dollars and a role in a major Hollywood feature.
Casting for Season two is already underway, so if you think you can compete alongside the world’s most beautiful models, apply here! And in Season 2, the photo shoots are going to be more exciting, the locations more breathtaking, and the prize is increasing to a whopping $10 million. I know, I thought it was a typo too, so I emailed Andy Khawaja’s people and they confirmed it, TEN MILLION DOLLARS! This could very well be the largest prize in reality competition history.
It really makes me wish I was a model; I could use a million dollars or ten.
