“The Colbert Report” announces guests for final week

After tonight, there will only be four more episodes of Comedy Central’s The Colbert Report left, as the series will end on Dec. 18 after a nine-year run. Stephen Colbert will be taking over CBS’ Late Show for the retiring David Letterman later next year.

Today, Comedy Central announced who the guests will be for the final week of The Colbert Report. In a release, Colbert, modest as ever in his faux right-wing pundit persona, said, “Our last week of shows are going to be really special, just like every other week.”

The Colbert Report Guests — Final Week, Dec. 15-18

Dec. 15: Seth Rogen (The Interview)
Dec. 16: Kendrick Lamar (interview and musical performance)
Dec. 17: Phil Klay, discussing Redeployment, for which he won the 2014 National Book Award for Fiction
Dec. 18: The Report’s final guest will be Stephen’s colleague and lifelong friend, Grimmy

On Dec. 18, Comedy Central will air a marathon of classic Colbert Report episodes from 10am-11pm ET/PT.

The Colbert Report airs Monday-Thursday at 11:30pm ET/PT on Comedy Central.
