In the wake of Joan Rivers’ passing yesterday at the age of 81, E! and Bravo will be remembering the comedian and actress with specials — appropriate, given the amount of time she spent on the channels, especially E!

E! will pay tribute to Rivers with Joan Rivers: Celebrating an Icon, debuting Sept. 5 at 9pm ET/PT. The one-hour E! News special is hosted by Jason Kennedy and Catt Sadler, who, according to a release, “will be joined throughout the hour by George Kotsiopoulos, Ken Baker and other members of the E! on-air family who knew Joan well, the one-hour special will include highlights from Joan’s unmatched career, a look back at her early days, and at the tremendous outpouring of love and support from ‘Joan’s Rangers,’ her legion of fans. From her breakout performance on The Tonight Show and her own late night show, to her Emmy Award-winning daytime talk show and E!’s own Fashion Police, Joan Rivers’ star shined brightly in everything she did.”

(Note: E! says that this week’s E! From Fashion Week special will now air Sept. 5 at the new time of 10pm ET/PT.)

For its part, Bravo will be re-airing Joan Rivers’ last appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Sept. 7 at 11:30pm ET/PT. The program, hosted by Andy Cohen, originally aired July 29, 2014, and featured Rivers on the show to promote her new book Diary of a Mad Diva and the show Fashion Police.
