First image of Allison Williams in NBC’s “Peter Pan Live!”

NBC has released a sneak peek of the first image of Allison Williams as the title character in NBC’s upcoming musical production, Peter Pan Live! on Dec. 4. The Girls actress will costar in the NBC production with Christopher Walken, who plays Captain Hook, and Christian Borle, as Hook’s sidekick Smee.

“I have wanted to play Peter Pan since I was about three years old, so this is a dream come true,” said Allison Williams, in a July release announcing her casting as Peter Pan. “It’s such an honor to be a part of this adventure, and I’m very excited to get to work with this extraordinarily talented team. And besides, what could go wrong in a live televised production with simultaneous flying, sword fighting and singing?”

Williams is no stranger to music. She is a classically trained singer, and has sung on Girls and in various other projects. Videos of her singing online prior to Girls have gained millions of views, and based on this picture, she is also able to look the part of Peter Pan with no problem.

NBC’s production is based on the original 1954 Broadway production of Peter Pan, which was directed and choreographed by Jerome Robbins and featured iconic songs like “I’m Flying” and “I Won’t Grow Up.” Mary Martin famously originated the role of Peter Pan.

Peter Pan Live! airs Dec. 4 at 8pm ET on NBC.
