Tonight on Dancing With The Stars, it’s time to get steamy in the ballroom! For many DWTS fans, Latin night is the highlight of the season. Usually, Latin night occurs at a point when the low-hanging fruit has been eliminated, and the remaining contestants are all contenders. And, best of all, the costumes are tiny, and the men are usually open-shirted!
Filling the guest judge seat is Grammy-winner Ricky Martin. I adore, adore his cleft chin and his shaking hips. Ricky will also perform his new song Vida, which is the theme song of the 2014 World Cup. The song is fantastic and is guaranteed to get you moving! Expect to hear it in your Zumba class from now until forever.
Oh, Ricky is starting the night by performing. See, the song is awesome! “Vamos todos a bilar, sonrir Y celebrar,” (That means we’re all going to dance, smile and celebrate.) indeed!! But, did they steal Ricky’s drop-crotch pants from Cory Simpson’s wardrobe rack? I hate drop crotch!
Tom revealed that Danica broker her rib during the week but that she would be able to dance. Phew!

This week was a tough one for Amy personally. She revealed that she and her long-time, very serious boyfriend are having troubles. It is sad to see Amy cry because she is usually a rock of confidence. Fortunately, Derek is a ham whose sole goal in life is to make her happy and look great. During her performance, Amy was beautiful and sensual. I prefer when Amy dances to a fast dance, I love to see her power. But tonight she was so fragile, how fitting that this week she needed to be vulnerable and sensual considering the mental and physical challenges of the week! And, she was lovely in her rose nightgown. Simply sexy and elegant.

In the pre-performance package Peta was asked by a producer if she and James are dating. She dodged the question. James said he’s totally interested in her buy he’s trying to keep it professional…for now. And then they talked about rubbing crotches. In their performance, dreams came true for men and women around the world. The dance started with Peta in automotive coveralls, and James in a ribbed tank and turned down overalls. Thankfully, this much clothing was short lived, as James pulled off her coveralls so Peta danced in a red bra, panties, and thigh-high stockings. Mid-dance, Peta ripped off James’ his shirt off too. Then they dances and made sexy sex. They are great dancers and dancing nearly named had the audience fanning themselves and the judges speechless with desire.

Dancing the Salsa to Watch Out for This by Major Lazer
We heard that Danica broke a rib during this week’s rehearsal, and now we see how…Danica injured her rib doing a lift with Val. Ouch! Danica said she had first injured that rib doing her contemporary dance and has been dealing with the pain ever since and this week she felt the rib snap. During her performance, Danica seemed a little timid, I saw a few mistakes and didn’t see and lifts or anything show stopping, but it was fun and mad props to that ball of sass for toughing through a painful injury.
Carrie Ann: “I feel for you. But you need to get down and dirty.”
Ricky: “Mad respect. You have amazing chemistry”
Len: “There was two sections of salsa, the rest was Pop video. Well done.”

Charlie met with Meryl to get a pep talk and advice about bringing passion. Charlie has been slipping down the leader board for the past few weeks and this week is in jeopardy of elimination. Wow. I don’t even have words for how awesome that performance was. It felt so dangerous and raw. The final move was amazing, like law dropping, I thought Charlie was dropping Sharna on the floor. If you can find the video on YouTube, watch it. I’ll try to find it and link it for you. BTW, Charlie takes off his jacket mid-dance. His body is nearly flawless (and hairless!)

Last week, Candace started feeling like she starts blanking out during camera blocking and dress rehearsal. Candace and Tony head to a sports psychologist to discuss her fears of disappointing her partner. Candace has a few new coping skills to work on and things to think about to keep up her confidence. Mark and Candace had beautiful lifts and did an awesome job. Candace really sells herself short. She is so wonderful. It is so awesome to see her smile. That was her best dance since week 1. And she got pretty flowers from her mom. So sweet.

It is pretty ironic that everyone on Team Vida is in jeopardy of elimination. Their dance was totally fun! James and Peta are such a well-matched couple. Charlie really brought a lot of passion. And NeNe, God bless her, I felt like I was watching my tall self out there dancing with a tiny man.

After Amy’s injury, Team Loca was judged based on their dress rehearsal performance. The dance was great, and it serves as a lesson to all of the young dancers out there: dance your all, because you never know when it will count. Candace and Mark did the heart stopping vertical lift that was so spellbinding in their contemporary dance. Meryl was flawless, Danica was fierce and Amy was better in her faster dance than in her slower Rhumba.

Ricky: “Mad respect, you guys were outstanding.”
Len: “It was fantastic.”
Bruno: “I tell you that was a spectacular showstopper. Worth a repeat performance.”

After the break, Nene, James and Charlie stand in jeopardy. Charlie and Sharna were announced safe. After a few moments of tension, Tom announced that tonight was Nene’s last night.
NeNe was such a vibrant personality. Sh brought her big smile and giant peroanlity to the ballroom and will be missed.
“I am so proud of myself to compete with Olympians with no dance experience. I am proud of NeNe Leakes.”
Next week, the human demon, Abby Lee Miller, will be the guest Judge. Lock your doors and hide your children, that woman eats souls. Also next week, the contestants will dance with each other. That should be interesting, since there are 2 guys and 4 girls. Maybe they wont be dancing with each other, rather they’ll be dancing with each other.
But also, Abby Lee Miller will be there. And Abby Lee Miller is not friendly. I anticipate Candace crying.
